Yes, Miker. I totally agree with you here. We have removed God. And I am not sure about what happens next, like you. But we know who wins. I went to high school with a guy who became an MD and he went on a personal campaign as a doctor to have the Ten Commandments removed from the courthouse lawn. We graduated from high school about 4 years after the Supreme Court decision to remove prayer and Bible reading from public schools.
There is a booklet called the Patriotic Rosary that we do at our parish each month- praying for our country. We read writings founding fathers on patriotism , fortitude and faith. One of my favorites is this one which I believe applies here : “To the kindly influence of Christianity we owe that degree of civil freedom, and political and social happiness which mankind now enjoys. In proportion as the genuine effects of Christianity are diminished in any nation, either through unbelief, or the corruption of its doctrines, or the neglect of its institutions; in the same proportion will the people of that nation recede from the blessings of genuine freedom, and approximate the miseries of complete despotism.” “All efforts to destroy the foundations of our holy religion, ultimately tend to the subversion also of our political freedom and happiness.” “Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of government, and all the blessings which flow from them, must fall with them.” Jedediah Morse, 1799
O It boggles the mind how fast society and the educational system collapsed. In the 1960s one of the books adopted by some Texas schools was called “The Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ “. The main disciplinary issue reported by teachers was chewing gum. How we went from that to this in a mere 50, 60 years cannot be explained in sociological or political terms. The answer must lie in the spiritual realm.
Great post. It definitely lies in the spiritual realm. Diabolical disorientation. It just sneaked up on me while I thought I was managing my life just fine in my young adulthood.
What kind of society produces an 18 year pyscho intent on killing innocent children and people? A demonic one. I think the world needs exorcism.
So the cops stood outside the school for an hour with a psycho inside killing children and the reason they didn't go in was they might get shot??!! Something fishy going on for sure.
That is what it is sounding like for sure. I am hoping this is not the truth! I also read parents were being held back and tased to prevent them from going in the school themselves.
MMM, It's even worse than that some parents showed up during the shooting and pleaded with the police to enter the building and they told the parents they were interfering. One mother was put in handcuffs and a father was tackled and thrown to the ground by police and a third was pepper-sprayed. https://thehill.com/news/1230-repor...-arrested-pepper-sprayed-trying-to-save-kids/ I do hope that the whole truth comes out and then not repeated anywhere else. This morning I thought of Ashley Babbitt who was unarmed but violently protesting at the Capitol on January 6th. She was shot and killed by a Capitol Policeman who was charged but found innocent of negligent homicide, I believe. Then, I compared this situation to the one at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas this past Tuesday. The shooter was outside the school for 12 minutes meandering while the police looked on and he had already shot at a couple of people entering a funeral home in the area but yet the police couldn't shoot at him to disable him enough to not continue on his rampage? It doesn't make sense. I'm not really fond of this idea but I wondered if it would be a fabulous deterrent to declare that anyone who is on the property of a school and shouldn't be and is armed and suspicious may be shot and possibly killed by authorities. This might help put an end to this craziness.
I don't know how those parents are coping. If someone held me back from trying to save my child while police stood around too scared to go protect children... They'd have to drag me off handcuffed. I agree something deeper went on there. It doesn't sound right at all. Not like the usual bravery of law enforcement.
Courage often springs from a deep Faith. Were Faith is absent, self sacrificial love is often absent too. Why would someone lay down their lives for others when love is absent? Which is why we say, 'For God and Country'. God first, then Country. Love for Country, for others, springing from love for God, from whom all good things come... Courage, to me is a wonderful kind of madness. It seems to me that Faith itself, too, is a wonderful kind of madness; the belief in things not seen. This is the reason we tend to esteem Courage and Faith so very highly, in that it is beyond the normal scope of men. It is a reaching out to something higher and greater than ourselves. A step out into Darkness. Many may wear uniforms; but not all men have Courage, or Faith. For some a Day Job, for others, a Calling Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see
Padraig, Exactly, this is not the first time which makes it even more suspicious. Beautiful post and on our Memorial Day weekend!!! I think that you are so very right!+ Hmmm, "the Warning would come when conditions were at their worst."
Same here PF, I would have gone straight in the same door that terrible shooter entered. Easy to say in this side of the situation. But I truly believe I would have died in there trying my best to save kids. Or been taken away writhing in hand cuffs. So many people in our country have trashed the police to the point that maybe they have grown a fear in doing what is right…. Sad times we are living in. Such sad sad times.
Yes, something is very wrong. Same story in Florida, why the hesitation by local police? Details are still unfolding, but apparently an off duty border patrol agent who heard about the shooting on his radio drove 40 miles to get to the school. He led a tactical team that breached the classroom and shot the killer.
Carol, There is a really interesting post made recently by Dr Steve Turley about a Demonic Uprising. I expect this from people deeply interesting in Mysticism and the Supernatural rather than from a Secular Scholar but there you go. It talks about a Demonic Uprising. It also touches on School Shootings and mentions that Security went down on two recent shooting, including the most recent one and that doors and windows were left unsecured. It suggests collusion. Any I never expected secular people to be open to this stuff.
MSM is hard at work debunking any questionable thoughts about the Robb Elementary school shootings. The focus is on gun control. Every such event is used to threaten our Second Amendment rights.
We are no longer asleep. Some things don't add up. False flags are very real events. Tragedies can be engineered to push forward The Agenda. The horror and sadness are real. But The roots of the tragedy and its handling raise real red flags. Why anyone still watches msm is beyond me.
One America News just shared this with it's viewer, "Since 2000, there have no mass shootings in schools in which staff members carry firearms." I hope that this link includes this quote, I have not been able to watch the 5+ minute video on the link yet - https://www.oann.com/president-of-crime-prevention-research-center-weighs-in-on-shootings-gun-laws/
