    DAY 8 Part 1

Rev 4:8 ...day and night they never cease to sing, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!" 9 And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, singing, day and night they never cease to sing, 11 "Worthy art thou, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power...

Elizabeth asks a penetrating question in response to the above passage.

How can I imitate in the heaven of my soul this unceasing occupation...this uninterrupted praise and adoration...this perpetual sanctus?

How I love that highlighted description! How disappointed I am when the Sanctus at Holy Mass is left unsung! O, but to make it a reality in my life! The key is revealed in a passage from Ephesians 3:

17 ...and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

The experiential love of God comes through faith. A beautiful insight comes through this meditation that is a warning to us members of MOG. If we become bogged down in considering the apparent advance of evil in the world, the temptation comes and entices us to question why God fails to act, or to think that perhaps He is not in control. Never succumb to such lunacy! In our frailty we may not yet perceive, but faith is our rear guard: we must wait in breathless anticipation for the revelation of God's glorious Light in this brief moment of cloud cover. Let faith bear the fruit of Christ's love in our life.

Pope Benedict described it as faith being performative! If I believe that Jesus loves me, then I will go forth and live love!:)

Whether day or night, may I rest in the depths of silence within my soul so that this love may be lived out in my daily life!:D

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
