The "add" button down in column A seems to be to add rows to the chart. It doesn't help with the saving of information which is made automatically.

At least this is how I see it working. Indy could give us the expert assurance though.

Friends, we have a SECOND SHEET in our Prayer Garden where we can write down our prayer intentions in an easy way.
Also we can read them to take them to prayer.

This is the link to access directly the PRAYER INTENTIONS SHEET
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...ZHhKTFktdkhsVTd2WHdwakJiMlE&usp=sharing#gid=2

We can also access it directly from the Prayer Garden sheet: look at the very left bottom of the spreadsheet and you will see a little tab with the title of the sheet.

Many thanks, Indy, that was another good job!

    Woman Clothed with the Sun,

One of our former regulars, Lee, would get on my case at times for thinking too small. :rolleyes:You are so right! And today, I was at a nursing home helping to distribute Holy Communion. A woman named Ruth shared a room with her husband Stanley, who passed away this morning. They had been married sixty-two years! :love:Fortunately, Stanley was a committed Catholic. But we must pray and always be ready to share. I'm glad I was there for Ruth; she unloaded on me and I just listened. And for you, Paul's prayer from Ephesians 3:
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with might through his Spirit in the inner man, 17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.

I started praying as part of the MOG Perpetual Prayer garden this evening and it feels like I am doing extra in my prayer. The prayer garden is roughly half full which is great and some slots are double and triple booked which is really great. But there is room for more. So maybe there are some readers of the Mother Of God forum who are not members of the forum yet but would like to join the prayer garden. There is no sign up just write a name or nickname into a slot based on Rome time and pray with us.

    Here it is:

There is a list of prayer resources here

just bumping this up in case people have been considering joining the prayer chain. There are still openings! Maybe this can be stickied, so the thread does not get buried and new members can read it and hopefully join us in the prayer garden!

Thanks PotatoSack, that's a good idea.

Padraig, do you think that we could get this thread, or the Prayer Garden sheet stickied so that it remains accessible?

    Bump ...

As we have entered the holy season of Lent maybe we can reflect in the chart some of our prayer practices.

This is not about showing off but about giving testimony and encouraging each other in our mutual support, and in our response to Our Blessed Mother's constant request for prayer.

    Peace!

We will get that prayer garden full up yet, with enough time and prayer. I have to say when I pray during my allocated time in the table I feel a closer union to God.

    Thanks Indy!
I see more slots filled, thank you to everyone!

The times in the chart will not be totally correct for some of us during the next couple of weeks since we have already had the spring time saving change, while in Europe-Italy they haven't changed it yet, they do that at the end of March or beginning of April I think. Then we will authomatically catch up the right times again.

I am very surprised but pleased at how full it is now. ..and I thought it would take months to fill.

I am still praying away during my walk in the evenings. Prayer makes us a family and draws us closer. I find it especially good for praying for people who asked for prayer and I might have forgotten otherwise. It has also taught me to appreciate and value the forum a lot more and to teach me a lot.

I hope it is doing some good for to others too. I hope it will teach me to be more still and listen to Our Lady in case she wants the forum to have some new grace. Prayer is the life blood of all spiritual endeavour. I believe I can see things on the forum improve, spiritually deepen since this started.

Thank you WCWTS for this is a wonderful idea, I added my name too. Just a question: when members say "rosary" do you mean a chaplet or all 20 mysteries? The terms are used interchangeably so I don't always know. I was going to write rosary but technically, it's a chaplet.

The planning spreadsheet seems perpetual so would need weekly or daily updates for those who can't commit to regular prayer. It would be useful to have a link to this file on the home page of the forum and a link to this thread too (maybe someone else suggested this already, I admit that I didn't have time to read all comments...)

To me, to pray a Rosary usually means 5 decades of one of the mysteries. Some people manage to pray all 3 decades daily but that's a struggle for me. I think it is acceptable to even pray one decade per day if one is not used to praying the rosary. What matters is that you pray with the heart; quality, not quantity :).

As for a link to the prayer garden, I thought Padraig had pinned a link to the main page but I can't see it there now. I have it saved in my bookmarks anyway which is easiest.

Thank you, Andree, and welcome to the Garden of Our Blessed Mother!

When we say "a rosary" in general we mean ONE PART of the complete Rosary, that is the Glorious Mysteries, or the Sorrowful, Luminous, or Glorious Mysteries -that is 5 decades plus the Credo and prayers for Our Holy FAther.
Traditionally also the Litany of Loreto has been considered part of the "daily Rosary", at least in some places like ole Europe, but this is not necessarily a part of it.

It is in this way also that we understand Our Lady's request in Her Marian apparitions (Lourdes, Fatima, etc) to pray the Rosary DAILY. This, I think, is the tradition in the Church even if they may be some variations.

Of course many people pray the COMPLETE Rosary -the three traditional parts, or the four parts with the Luminous Mysteries added by St. JP II.

I have added two lines for Weekly and two for Monthly options, Andree, hopte that this will give the flexibility you are suggesting.
The idea is not to have people concerned about the chart but about the commitment and the PRAYER. So whatever is helpful for writing down that commitment in our shared Garden, is welcome.

    Hope this helps.

Indy, please, give us your expert touch on this. (y) Thank you!

I was hoping we would see this thread again soon. Hi to all you prayer warriors. I will have a little think about how to do weekly and monthly updates, but what you added looks nice so far.

God bless and keep moving those mountains.

I don't know how others feel but I have sensed in the past few days the darkness suddenly becoming heavier. I feel a deep sense of uneasiness, so I wanted to remind us all about our prayer garden and invite new members to add their names to a time slot, remind old members to pray for rest of us at the times they've committed to (I have not been very good at this myself) and also to draw people's attention to the Prayer Intentions tab at the bottom of the page (I added a special intention today).

    The link is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...ZHhKTFktdkhsVTd2WHdwakJiMlE&usp=sharing#gid=0

    God bless.

Maybe some new members would like to help out with some prayer, or unify some of your Rosaries and devotions with times and other members in the prayer garden. Your Lord Jesus Christ needs you.
