    What I failed to mention as a boss, is the often bitter taste of upper management and especially with corporate rules changing like the wind to appease the global trends. The past enjoyment of working for large corporations has often become very taxing to the spirit. Political correctness everywhere now and it is a game of follow the leader.

    I will start storming heaven. HH is right. It stinks. Would Our Lady let this happen? Surely not. It just seems like some awful vicious retaliation.

    Thank you so much for your prayers, I can feel them lifting me up. They have given me until the Near Year (I suppose the week after next) before they put thing sin motion. I will work my cotton socks of in an attempt to dissuade them. But I think things are already set. But with God all things are possible.

    Padraig,
    Have you a copy of the policy they are following? Have they served you with a letter?
    You should have a meeting within a given number of days to give your statement to the investigator. Nothing should be vague in this process.

    However, if I am being nosey, I’m sorry. I can’t bear it when HR policies aren’t followed properly and people have additional stress.
    There must be an HR Saint we can ask to your aid.

    I think because it is Christmas they have to wait to the New Year to get formal. I think I am being served up as the Christmas turkey. :)

    I think formal things will happen in the New Year when people are back from holidays.

    They may not have followed procedures correctly. Record everything Padraig. If you are in a union get them to work on your behalf.

    Thank you, I am a bit happeier tonight I was told when I got into work that a lot of people have been pulled. I suppose they can't sack us all. Thanks for the prayers!

    padraig, I read your original post about what happened yesterday and I was wondering about this. The fact that, as you stated, many people were doing what you did. The other thought that I had is that you also stated that many (if not all) have been doing it for years. At the time that you were hired, if your co-workers who trained you (and others) explained that this was standard procedure that when the next shift arrived (I'm assuming once your duties were officially handed off to them) then those ending their shift would leave even if it was a few minutes before the shift was officially over. Imo, the current management sounds like they need to confirm what the exact procedure is when one shift relieves another and go forward from there. They, of course, may not see it that way but I have been praying that they do because it appears that many people have been doing this for a long time and if they only single out a few I think that you should speak to a lawyer for advice. I'm certain that members here would be willing to help to contribute to a fund for you to do so. I'm still praying for you.

    Apparently my Union provides a free initial interview with a senior Lawyer if required. I was planning to do this if needed.

    The whole thing is bizarre. The lady manager who interviewed me a couple of days ago arranged to meet me yesterday morning. I had wanted to say a few things to her in my defense as well. She never showed. This is the second time they arranged to meet me and never came. If I had not shown twice for arranged meetings World War Three would have started.

    But thank you all so much for your prayers, I feel so happy and at peace!! I had the most lovely encounter with a lovely colleague over at main building yesterday morning. He told me I was crazy for not loosing my temper and shouting at them! This made me laugh. He says they are simply bullying me and I should stand up for myself. This mad me laugh , for it is true. I must grow a harder edge with these people. But I am not used to this kind of thing; it has never happened to me at work before.

    However this is such a huge source of grace. I am so happy and at peace now. This is as a result of all your prayers. Thank you all so, very much. Praying right back at it for you all.

    Padraig, That's very good about your Union offering that.

    My advice is to remain very professional, don't loose your temper but stay very even keeled. I agree with others here who stated that you should record everything, create a word document right now and write what happened and everything that has occurred since. Log the dates of when they asked to meet with you and when and who showed up and who did not. Log the names of the others who have been reprimanded and when you heard this. Log everything and keep all correspondence that they send you, emails and/or anything in writing.

    You should be at peace this is good, remain at peace and simply dots your i's and cross your t's from here on forwards. As they say, "You got this!"
