She is one of my favorites. Her book "Not Without Parables" is absolutely wonderful.

I haven't read her for years. I think they have groups all over the world encouraging this spirituality and there is a house in Ireland called,' Madonna House'?

At the end of the day I think prayer winds up in an act of great simplicity. A kind of Eternal Hug. It is kind of looking at an old married couple who have been together for many, many years. They do not talk but sit comfortably together happy and relaxed in each others company. They do not feel the need to talk very much for pretty well all that needs to be said has been said many, many times down the long, long years. They know each other as well as they know themselves. The promise that was proclaimed at Wedding Altar that,

'The two might become one', has been fulfilled. Look a little closer and you can see that even their physical appearances have been affected by this growing together and they have started to even look alike.

So with Christ in prayer. We are raised from one degree of glory unto the next into the image of Christ.

    2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

There is the most wonderful series on BBC Radio 4 on Forgiveness. Stories from around the world on people around the world who have forgiven people who wronged them.

Yesterday was the story of, 'Cain and Abel', two brother from a little rural town in Kansas , USA. These were the nicknames as they were both so unlike each other. Their real names were Floyd and Tom. Floyd was outgoing and very likeable , Tom withdraw and hard to get to know. Floyd had got married left home, Tom stayed with his parents , was withdraw and made folks uneasy.

Both attended their local Baptist Church.

Their 15 old sister-in -law was murdered by being shot four times and left on a dump.

Tom admitted he killed her , but a few days later retracted and blamed Floyd for killing her.

They both took a lie detector test and Floyd failed.

Floyd was arrested and after his parents backed Tom's story and with a bad lawyer and bad police was sentenced to life in prison. Floyd was quite innocent and was to spend 15 years in prison for something he did not do. He eventually forgave his brother and his parents.

Eventually new DAN evidence came forward showing Floyd was innocent. Tom committed suicide and left a note saying he had killed Camille.

    Floyd was released from prison.

He had been a farm hand and said something very true about forgiveness. He says it is a bit like a farmed with weeds on his land. That forgiveness is not a one off . Like a farmer with weeds on his land we have to go out and pluck the weeds of anger and resentment from our hearts.

He served nearly 16 years in prison until new DNA evidence cleared him and implicated Tom in 2015.

The murderer killed himself just a week later and was found with three letters admitting the 'rape and murder of a 14-year-old'.

His parents had testified saying Tom was at home with them at the time of the murder, with his mother telling Floyd: 'I know Tom didn't do it... you'll be blaming your dad next.'

Writing in the Guardian today, Floyd said: 'My brother had withdrawn his confession and my parents testified that, at the time of the murder, he was home with them, sleeping. I can't describe how much that hurt. They didn't look at me.'

I have down loaded a Catholic App on my phone called, 'Verbum', (Latin for , 'Word' ) and am trying to read a Chapter of the Bible everyday after Mass. I opened the first book of Genesis ,God creates things. It just struck me how beautiful it is. It seems to me that many people like materialistic scientists misunderstand the words here. It is as though God had composed a poem, a song, a painting and was dancing for us. He is speaking to the deepest heart within us. But we have to have ears to hear the music.

For about two years after my Conversion , saying the rosary I got great insights into who and what God is. It seems to me this was necessary for how can we love a God we do not know? A kind of Theology Course Direct from Heaven.:):)

I dreamt last night of Catholic Doctor in the Middle East. This was a very, very good and holy man ,also of great purity and innocence, like a little child, like a glass of water. His family had a lot of buisness holdings which his older brother ,as head of the family managed. The Good Doctor took little to do with it all, simply going ahead with his medical work.

I dreamt the Doctor was going through a very bad time, which had almost made him a little bit unhinged, almost and was walking about a very beautiful ancient MIddle Eastern city one day.

A very evil Chinese family had been trying to take over their buisness but the older brother and the rest of the family ignored them. I dreamt the Good Doctor was walking past the a Huge and gorgeous Hotel run by the Chinese were several employees were talking. In my dream all manner of evil took place in this building. They feel into talk with the Good Doctor and when they discovered who he was got very excited to see him and invited him in.

The head of the Chinese family came to meet him. A guy who was totally sunk in evil and guile.

It was shown to me in the dream that great goodness and great evil in people simply cannot understand each other. The evil Chinese simply could not understand the Doctor and was baffled by him. The Good Doctor on the other hand was unaware of the huge evil that was sitting right there in front of him.

It seems to me that this is so often the case with good and evil. The evil walk down one side of the street, the evil the other. It is rather as though they both come from different planets. The more good and the more evil a person is the less they understand each other because they come from such totally different places..

I think you know when an evil person meets a good person the evil person is totally baffled. Evil acts totally in it's own self interest and they cannot understand how anyone else could act otherwise. So they characterise the good person as being stupid or mad or self deluded. As Indeed they did with Jesus Himself.
