    Someone wanted to make sure Europe had no chance of making peace with Russia, if only for the sake of the energy crises.

    So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

    I get butterflies in my stomach recently seeing quite clearly the hugeness of what drifts towards us on a tide of pure evil.

    I was praying to Our Lady last night asking her to calm my fears and the natural question sprang to mind, 'Did Mary go through this before us?'

    Well of course she did. We are taught by the mystics she got the rough and tumble even as a child in the Temple.

    Then Gabriel had to warn her not to be afraid at the Annunciation.

    The uncertainty of being pregnant out of wedlock and with Joseph.

    Having nowhere to lay her head at Christmas.

    The Flight into Egypt.

    Knowing day by day that her only Son was to be tortured and crucified.

    The Passion.

    The Flight from King Herod to the Holy House at Ephesus.

    Seeing the First Christians and Apostles, her sons and daughters slaughtered.

    Oh yes she knew! She knew and was at Peace and was resigned to the Holy Will of the Father. ..and she is with us now as we walk towards our own Calvary.

    It just breaks my heart. They went through hell during the world wars, and through communism. They’ve had a sense of peace after Reagan. But now they are heading back to war. Tragic!

    Thank you for posting this exquisite hymn. It is very special to me. When I first returned to the Church I was playing a record of Marian hymns by French trappists and I was praying the Rosary and this hymn began and I literally felt the corridors of heaven open up in a kind of suspension of time. I knew knew knew Our Blessed Mother had literally rescued me from the pit. I suddenly remembered when I was 10 years old I was consecrated to her Immaculate Heart and my teacher a very very good Dominican nun formed the Ave Maria Club and taught us mental prayer. I just LOVE this beautiful hymn to Our Lady. It still touches my soul very deeply.

    Sorry, but I fail to see these reports as credible.

    The propaganda that Putin himself blew up one of the primary sources of his country’s income, when all he had to do was to simply shut off the tap, while leaving his multibillion dollar pipeline intact, is the weakest CIA/ Deep State fairy tale I’ve read so far.

    I saw an article of Putin in a submarine and just had to laugh.

    Unless Putin has already decided a nuclear war is inevitable, he wouldn't have blown up his only chance at striking a peace deal. As long as the pipelines are there there would be a small chance to avoid war. No pipelines = less probability of avoiding the war.
