WEDDING RINGS The girls would have their fingers full of wedding rings, and while in ecstasy they'd raise up their hands and ask the Virgin to kiss them. After this they would return the rings to their owners without making any mistakes and without seeing who they were giving them to as their heads were always tilted backwards and their eyes fixed on the apparition above them. http://www.ourlady.ca/info/weddingRings.htm
Strange weight of Visionaries. They could lift one another up with the greatest of ease. On the other hand, two grown men were barely able to move a single child when in ecstacy. In one of the photographs, Conchita can be seen, before the church door, lifting Mary Loli up to give something to the Virgin to be kissed. This is a result of the lack of gravity characteristic of the visionaries, and only they can do this to one another. Photograph taken inside the Church. Loli easily lifts Jacinta to help her reach up to the Vision, whereas two grown men can hardly move her. View attachment 6710
A LETTER FROM PADRE PIO TO THE GIRLS:On March 3, 1962, a letter arrived in Garabandal addressed to all four visionaries. It was written in Italian, and had an Italian stamp, but wasn't postmarked. Nor was it signed. By the handwriting, and the style of the letter, it was clear it could have only come from Padre Pio. The letter said: "My Dear Children, "At nine o'clock this morning the Holy Virgin told me to say to you: 'O Blessed young girls of San Sebastian de Garabandal! I promise you that I will be with you until the end of the centuries, and you will be with Me during the end of the world and later, united with Me in the Glory of Paradise.' Padre Pio continued: I am sending you a copy of the Holy Rosary of Fatima, which the Virgin told me to send you. The Rosary was composed by the Virgin and should be propagated for the salvation of sinners and preservation of humanity from the terrible punishments with which the good God is threatening it. I give you only one counsel: PRAY and get others to pray, because the world is at the beginning of perdition. They do not believe in you or in your conversations with the Lady in White. BUT THEY WILL BELIEVE YOU WHEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE" On February 9, 1975 the magazine known as NEEDLES had recorded an interview with Conchita, during which they asked her about this surprising letter from Padre Pio: Q. Conchita, do you remember anything about the letter? Conchita: “I remember that I received a letter in the mail that was addressed to me and the other three: Jacinta, Mari Loli, and Mari Cruz. They asked me what it was about, but since it was not signed, I kept it in my pocket until I saw the Blessed Virgin later that day. When she appeared I showed her the letter and I asked her who it was from. The Blessed Virgin told me that it was from Padre Pío. As I didn’t know who Padre Pío was, I didn’t ask any more questions. After the apparition, I told the people about the letter. A seminarian who was there explained to me who Padre Pio was and where he lived. So I wrote to him, saying that when he visited my country, I would like very much to see him. He answered me in a brief letter, saying: “do you think I can go up the chimney?” I was only 12 years old at the time, and I had no idea what a cloistered monastery was.”
There is one thing Father Hardon SJ said is essential in true messengers and that is humility. I believe this goes for those of us who promote their causes too. It is not a competition of who has the ups on detail. I know a fraction of most all of you on Garabandal and Medjogorje, but I am convinced that both are from God and both are a blessing for the church to prepare spiritually first and physically second. Both work together for the greater glory of God. I know pride is one thing God despises and so do I. Conchita and Mariana are both very humble servants of God.

BISHOP DAL VAL GALLO INTERVIEWS http://www.garabandal.us/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/bo_bishop_gallo.pdf
The Blessed Mother speaks of Abortion at Garabandal Among the fulfilled prophecies of Garabandal was one that only came to light with the publication of a German book [Garabandal — Der Zeigefinger Gottes.] on Garabandal in 1992. The author, Albrecht Weber, was in Garabandal on the day after Conchita's last apparition at Garabandal on November 13,1965, and had a long conversation with the visionary. The following excerpt from his book deals with some of what the visionary told him: She [Conchita] spoke quite openly about the developments by which men in the near future would rebel against God. On the day after Our Lady's last appearance at Garabandal, Conchita asked the author, "Can you imagine how somebody could kill children in the womb without thereby killing the mother?" The author spontaneously answered, "No! What gave you that idea, Conchita?" "Well, the Blessed Mother spoke about this and she let me know that this will happen with the overflowing of the chalice." [In her second Message of June 18,1965, the Virgin said, "Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over."] Conchita said this tremblingly without being able to visualize what it really implied. She said further that it disturbed her very much but that she felt ridiculous because she hadn't understood at all how this killing could be effected. The Blessed Virgin had not explained it to her and up until that moment, nobody had been able to make her understand it at all. Conchita would learn soon enough when abortion became legalized, even in her native country. The Blessed Virgin had spoken about this unfortunate practice to the visionary, in terms that had left her stunned. Indeed, at the time, Conchita did not understand "how it was possible to kill a child in his (or hers) mother's womb without killing the mother at the same time . . .!" Glenn, I struggle at times with the permissive Will of God, especially with the hundreds of millions of butchered babies throughout the world in the last 50 years- so horrific! The necessary freedom that God gives us that we might rejoice in being His children, seems to have been virtually blotted out by the enormity of sin. I grieve. I grieve. Perhaps the mere fact that I grieve, yet still seek Him, has redemptive value. How often I must pray: Jesus I trust in You! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Next Saturday I will fly to Garabandal for a few days. I live in the small hotel of Miguel, the brother of the seer Jacinta. It seems that in this place the watches have been standing for centuries. I do not know a more peaceful place in this world.
Humility "What God loves above all is humility. What displeases Him above all is pride." http://www.ourlady.ca/info/Humility.htm
Conchita & HUMILITY For a time, while she was living in Fatima many years ago, she went daily to an older priest’s residence to volunteer as a cleaning lady. As on other occasions, she went there using the name of Maria, in order not to be recognized. However, one day someone recognized her and immediately all the resident priests knew that the woman who swept the floors of their residence was Conchita of Garabandal. From then on, nothing was the same. Conchita told me that when the priests discovered who she was, they changed the way they treated her. She said she was sorry that they had found out who she was because she felt better serving those elderly priests anonymously.
Please tell us of your experience when you return, poor Sinner. Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
@ Mario & John T Yes, I would like to pray for you! I have a lot of time to pray in the church of Garabandal, or by the pine trees. where Our Lady often appeared to Chonchita and the other seers. I had the grace often to sit alone in the small and dark church of Garabandal to think about God and the world. It is an indescribably beautiful feeling to be in this place and I could cry every time I think of it.
Thank You. I've done the exact same. 3X But not Recently. It is that serene and beautiful. Stay safe & God Bless You
Today in Garabandal history: AUGUST 28, 1961 THE "SYMBOLIC" BAPTISM OF MURIEL CATHERINE Muriel Catherine, a nineteen-year old woman from Paris, of a Jewish father and a Protestant mother, was practicing no religion when she met Ascension de Luis from Burgos. The latter taught her a few rudimentary notions of the Catholic faith. The two friends went up to Garabandal on Monday, August 28, Feast of St. Augustine, the most famous convert in the Church history, except St. Paul. At about 12:30 a.m., on August 29, they attended an ecstasy of Mari-Loli and Jacinta, who spoke about Muriel to their Vision. The visionaries then exclaimed: "She is not baptized!. . . Come, let's help her . . . Ah, because of her parents! . . ." Loli suddenly stretched out her arm, and grasped a bottle of holy water that a priest had given her to throw towards the apparition as a "test." The girl opened the bottle and threw the contents upwards, in front of her. But instead of following its normal course, the water mysteriously bent its path, and in its inexplicable trajectory, fell as a little shower on Muriel. Muriel already had faith. But to be baptized, she had to wait until she came of age, the parents being opposed to her initiative. She was baptized in the cathedral of Burgos, at twenty-one years of age, on October 20, 1963, under the name of Maria del Carmen Catherine. She can be considered as a figure of the Synagogue called to be "baptized," or of the Church arising from the Synagogue. Muriel represents the first of three cases of a typical "conversion" linked directly to Garabandal. The two other cases are those of Maximo Foerscher, an Evangelist, and of Barbara Painter, an Anglican Protestant. [Excerpted from 'Garabandal' Book, page 98.] View attachment 6723
Mary on Obedience The virtue of obedience is one of the greatest indicators for determining the authenticity of alleged apparitions. According to the Saints, it is the only virtue the devil cannot imitate (who, by his nature, is disobedient), and is therefore the hallmark of authentic apparitions. In the apparitions of Garabandal the examples of obedience are so numerous and varying, that one can say that it permeated from all facets of the girls' lives. Most notably, the Blessed Virgin instructed the children on the importance of obedience, especially to the Bishop. In fact, She told the children to obey the Bishop even before her; "She taught us to obey the Bishop before her." (Interview with Conchita, 1972). What is most striking, is even the Blessed Virgin Herself, in the apparitions, obeyed the commands of the bishop, as detailed in the account below; Conchita, interview, 1973: "At the beginning, we used to go into the Church (editor's note; The Blessed Virgin often led the girls into a local church, where She would recite the Rosary together with them). But then the people, because they wanted to be first when we extended our arms, would make a big disturbance. So the bishop said we could not go into the church anymore. Then the Virgin, from the time the bishop said not to go into the church, never would let us in there again." Conchita recounts that, from that day forward, the Blessed Virgin no longer entered the Church, but instead remained outside. The children learned from the example of the Virgin, and followed it themselves. The girls were not only obedient and docile to the bishops, but also to their parents, interrogations by doctors, physical exams, psychological tests, criticisms and slander, and so forth. They went along with everything imposed on them.
