Hello! I am a pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in New Castle, Delaware. I have just found this forum from a search for Deacon John Martinez in Texas whose messages I have read on the website After the Warning. I have been discerning Locutions for the World for some time and have really been blessed through these internet sites. I hope to find more inspiration here.
Monsignor, So glad you've joined us! Be careful, though. Sometimes brawls break out in here. Thankfully, Mother Mary shuts them down pretty fast. Still, there is a chance you'll get sheep bit! (But as a pastor, I'm sure you've already got lots of those scars.)
Welcome Monsignor. Glad that you found us. I hope you share your impressions of Deacon John as well as your thoughts on LTTW.
Greetings Monsignor. Ah, Delware. Been around the Millsboro - Rahoboth Beach area a few times and always found it hard to find a Catholic Church without driving 45 minutes away and then it was in a metal building structure that looked more like a fire station. Not a real Catholic part of the state I presume
I am very impressed with Locutions to the World. I have been publishing some of them in our parish bulletin and we now have a group who meet weekly to discuss and pray. As they are now available in book form, I find myself reading from the beginning and going back again and again. As I reflect on the different themes over time, I can't help but think that no one could make these up even if they wanted to. They are so clear and direct and in line with our Catholic tradition of faith. I think they could be used as a kind of catechism. We are trying to collect all of them for anyone who needs this light. I have also been interested in Deacon John's words about the refuges. I have generally understood that the Immaculate Heart of Mary is our refuge in the desert we are entering. Deacon John speaks of the hill country of Texas and other refuges around the world, these from some experiences he has had showing him his role in the refuge. I'd like to find out more about the refuges, especially if there are any to be on the East Coast.
Thank you so much. We have a judge in our Tribunal from Halifax, a wonderful lay woman who has been with us almost twelve years. We are blessed with her ministry.
It sounds like you found St. Luke's Church in Ocean City, MD. We call them beach parishes because our churches along the coast are filled to the rafters during the Summer but very slim for the rest of the year. It's hard to build cathedrals for folks who only come for a few weeks of the year. St. Edmund's in Rehobeth Beach is a more traditional Catholic Church but rather small for the crowds today. The parish has had to schedule Masses under tents for more seating. Glad you found us, though, and come again!
Welcome to the forum Monsignor ! Myself and member " Aviso " will be glad to answer any questions pertaining to Garabandal .
