Hi everyone! I have been silently visiting this forum almost daily for 3 years now, so I feel like I know many of you already, haha. I don't know why it took me so long to join and start posting.

I'm 35, a mother of 3 (aged 7 years, 2 years, and 9 months), and happily married to my faithful Catholic husband for 10 years. I'm in Texas, which lately has had me thanking God every day, because our governor is a devout Catholic that has declared places of worship to be essential, so I am free to attend Mass still as usual. The bishop has required us to be masked and socially-distanced within the church, but I'm so grateful to have Mass when so many across the world are deprived right now. My heart breaks for them.

Anyway, I wanted to briefly explain my username--PurpleFlower--as it probably seems pretty random but has a very special Marian significance to me. I have a history of infertility and miscarriages and had been trying for a few years to become pregnant with my 2nd child when one day on Facebook, every time I "liked" anything, it produced a purple flower. This was the purple flower that FB had featured the previous year for only one day: Mother's Day. What made it extra unusual was that no one could see it except me. I had to screenshot it just to show others what I was seeing all day that day. I asked tons of people if they were seeing a purple flower that day, and only one person out of my hundreds of friends could see it too--my sister. We decided that it was a special little sign from Mary because it was her birthday, September 8, and perhaps the purple "mother's day flower" symbolized her as our mother. We had no idea why we in particular were given that little sign.

Fast forward a few months, and I found that after years of trying and praying, I was pregnant. I ended up giving birth the very next year to a little girl, on September 8, Mary's birthday, the very day I had received the sign of the purple flower. What's more, that very same day, my sister conceived a little girl and gave birth 9 months later. My daughter is named Sophia, for Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, and my sister's daughter is named Rose.

This summer, on August 22, the feast of the Queenship of Mary, two purple lilies randomly sprung up out of the ground in my backyard, right in the middle of my grass. Completely random, not planted anywhere by me or anyone near me. I didn't even know what they were and had to identify them online. I know the lily is often associated with Mary, and the fact that they were a rare purple was extra special, in light of the little purple flower miracle associated with my daughter and niece. I cut the flowers and placed them before my statue of Mary in honor of her feast, and no more ever grew. Only those two, like Sophia and Rose. You would never know there were ever flowers there, as it's just plain grass like it was before.

Anyway, there's my introduction and my little story. I'm looking forward to participating in your posts finally!

This is a wonderful miraculous story. Thank you for telling us. Our Lady is such a true Mother. This is just so like her! ( The purple lilies in your lawn-- its like St Juan Diego's Castillian roses!)

And I think you are blessed to be in Texas too.
