Hello. I'm new to this forum but, after reading it for about 3 years, finally decided to join. I'm a Catholic living on the East Coast of the US and I attend a local diocesan TLM. I'm a believer in the appearance of our Blessed Mother at Garabandal and anxiously await the Warning and Miracle, and hope the time is nigh. I'm not really talkative, preferring to read others' posts. So I probably won't post a whole lot. Oh yes, I'm an avid player of the Scottish and Irish bagpipes, with a zeal that perhaps exceeds my skill (you'd have to ask my wife about that - she gets to listen every day). Greetings to all.
Welcome. I love the bagpipes. I used to teach school with a Scotsman who practiced every day after school.
Welcome! When I wandered through Scotland as a college kid, there was a man just standing in the entryway of a home on the street playing his bagpipes and it's the image of Scotland that will always be in my mind.
I can think of a reply, but I'm not sure if it's decent for this forum. Something about elbows . . . ?
Something about . . . a man who can play the Bagpipes but doesn't? I think that's the more decorous answer.
Oooooo ... I don't like bagpipe music ... too jarring on my ears ... but that's MY problem and no offense intended! Welcome.
Awwww …a very blessed welcome! I hired a bagpiper to play at my father’s funeral. A wonderful talent! So beautiful to hear bagpipe played live!
Welcome to the forum PipesUp! The Scottish pipe band is always the highlight of the July 4th parade in our little village here in MA. I've always been so impressed with bagpipers, it takes quite a commitment to master this instrument.
A warm welcome! We recently celebrated at our TLM parish with a March around the block, including a group of bagpipers, and the national anthem played and sung in the end.
My son is a grade 1 piper. I really miss hearing him practice everyday. I bet your wife enjoys your practice. God bless.
