Merry Christmas. Offered midnight Mass for you all and your loved ones. We are the first over here to receive the newborn King. God bless!
Amen! Alleluia. Thank you ! And in a few hours we will celebrate it too and will remember you and all the members of the forum. Will especially remember all those who have passed. And all those who look but don’t post it who have decided to move on from this place. Peace.
You both have covered it. Thank you so much. Glory to the newborn King. And He shall reign for ever and ever.
Prayers, please, for a wholesome cause. I'll be preaching this Christmas Eve (tomorrow as well). St. Mary's will be packed. For almost 20 years, our young children have presented a simple presentation of the Christmas story just outside the sanctuary, on Christmas Eve, just before the start of Holy Mass. The families maintain a reverent posture and the children look forward to it, but this will be the first time that the homilies for this evening and tomorrow at Christ Our Light Church will be in my hands. How important to clearly proclaim the Truth when the Churches are filled to overflowing! A Blessed Christmas to all!
Just offered my Christmas communion for all my dear brothers and sisters here in Our Heavenly mothers living room my sister Therese carried that communion to the foot of the cross and placed all our petitions to Christ our King...may the radiance of the infant saviour shine on all of you this Christmas eve. Praised be Jesus Christ. Amen
What a precious and unique experience tonight at Holy Mass. St, Anne's was packed full. We brought out extra chairs in the Church and in the vestibule. We had to send people downstairs to attend via webcam. The hymns, of course, were carols people knew, so even if one was lukewarm there was a sense of being caught up in joyful prayer! Father went into the sacristy to retrieve more hosts to put in another ciborium during my homily. Only he and I distributed. To be honest, no one to whom I gave Holy Communion had that vague, go-through-the-motions stare. Children too young to receive or adults not ready to receive came up for a blessing. No bored expressions (especially- the level of attentiveness was amazing). The holy atmosphere produced a level of joyful attentiveness I have not seen in awhile. Pray this is no passing phenomenon! The gospel focused on Mary and Joseph. May their prayers touch the hearts of those at Holy Mass tomorrow, as well!
A lovely little Christmas Sign on Christmas Eve Morning. I got up first thing this morning and signed a donation to the St Vincent De Paul with my credit card details. I put it in and envelope and went out to post it with the dog. To my doom and gloom I found when I got to the post box no envelope. Gone with all my credit card details..if anyone found it. Horror. Walked quickly back home no sign on the envelope on the streets. At home no envelope anywhere, I knew then that it was outside somewhere. I sent a quick prayer to God to help me reminding Him all I had tried to was help people..if anyone opened that envelope that would have access to my bank account. Left the house again, their was now a wind blowing. Looked across the street and the wind blew my envelope right before me ( I hadn't even being walking on that side of the street. The chances of this happening like this must be billions to one. A little miracle.
So encouraging. I sensed the same at our parish. We had 2 Masses at same time … one in Church and one in gym. In total over 1500 people! I sensed a profound yearning for Jesus I also am overwhelmed tonight b/c my youngest (22) accepted my invitation to. Make a confession. I scrambled and found a holy priest who was busy but he he saw where my son was out and was Persona Christi. What a gift. Our son then came to Mass. I’m overwhelmed. I pray my son is open now. It’s going to be a journey. But it’s a start. Thank you Jesus. Peace.
