I wonder if any other members of MOG have been watching the series 'The Chosen'?

It is all about the life of Christ.
One of the many things which make this series remarkable is that it is totally crowd-funded. Also, the actor who plays Jesus, Jonathan Roumie, is a devout Catholic. His father is Egyptian and his mother is Irish.

They released season 1 last year and are about to release season 2.

    Here is a short description:
The Chosen is a television drama based on the life of Jesus Christ, created, directed and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life of Christ, and season one was the highest crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time

Because the whole project is crowd-funded and people 'pay it forward', they have been able to release all of the episodes for free.

It has been featured on Catholic media such as: The National Catholic Register, LifeSite News and many more.

A great series. Very colourful and engaging. It uses back stories (imagined) and proposes character traits to well known biblical figures. Fleshes out the gospel stories respectfully. Well worth a watch. The wedding feast is my favourite. The disciples are human, flawed, and talk normally. Jesus has a great sense of humour.
The changing of water into wines when propsed is greeted with incredulity and then utter astonishment.
His mother ushers Our Lord into public life..with a 'please' that He cannot refuse.
I'm really looking forward to the second series.

Yes, me too, Sean. As far as I understand, season 2 should be released around Easter time. Not too long to wait :)

While I thoroughly enjoyed season 1 (I have become a St Matthew and at Andrew fan) I think for many the first 3 episodes were slow and i do know a few friends who stopped watching after episode 3- as a big reader myself I understand that sometimes in a story the beginning might be slow as the author (or in this case director) fleshes out the “characters” however often these slow starters end up being unable to put down stories and this is what the Chosen has become for me! I absolutely love love Love the Christmas special!! I’m eagerly looking forward to season 2!! I hope they all continue the excellent work they began on season 1

We just bought the dvds and started watching it. We've watched through episode 3 so far, which was my favorite....Jesus with the children. My 7-year-old son watches with us and is enthralled by it.

I also loved the episode with Jesus and the children :)
One of my favourite scenes is Jesus speaking to Nicodemus on the rooftop.

I liked the first season, especially the joy that was portrayed in Jesus and those surrounding him at the wedding in Cana but with the children also. Looking forward to the next season.

I think you can look up 'full episodes' on YouTube. They aired them last Easter. You have to listen to the producer talk beforehand but you can forward that bit.

Krizevac, I have put a link to the first episode of season 1.
    I hope it works.
You should be able to watch the entire episode on your computer, then, when it finishes, the remaining episodes will appear on the right.

I watched season one and found it remarkably good. Excellent in fact. The portrayal of Matthew was so outside the box it absolutely worked. Brilliant.
