In light of all the confusion and mistrust within the vatican itself, I was wondering everyone's thoughts on which version of the catechism would be the most correct in adherence to the true doctrine of the catholic church's teachings. I want to buy one for each of my neices and nephews to have when times become so bad and they won't know who or what to believe anymore. I am weary of the revised editions, Any help?
I enjoy the 4th section of the Catechism published during John Paul II Pontificate; the other sections are thorough with many references. I'm also tempted to buy Archbishop Schneider's recent catechism which is in question/answer format: very good and orthodox.
According to Fr Ripperger the Catechism of the Council of Trent is a good one to have. And the Douay Rhemes translation of the Bible.
You can try to read all cathechisms ever published and pick the ones you like, I have uploaded them here: https://disk.yandex.ru/d/7SMA1AZdjccQ6/Catechisms Along with other writings of the saints if you'd like here: Yandex.Disk Yandex.Disk 1 Yandex.Disk 2 Yandex.Disk 3 Yandex.Disk 4 Yandex.Disk 5 After that you can buy the book.
