The Book of Revelation

I've found this Bible Study by Frances Hogan on the Book of Revelation. It's a series of videos on the Shalom World channel on YouTube. Each video is only about 20 minutes long so there are lots of them because Frances Hogan's style is thorough, knowledgeable and solidly Catholic.

Here's the video for the start of Chapter 1. I can't find a play list with all the episodes, so it may take a bit of a search for each subsequent video.

Francis Hogan is a a wonderful scripture guide. I listen and relisten to her frequently.

Yes! The explanation of the fate of Jerusalem the Bride who became a harlot as it aligns with the fate of the apostate Church is a huge eye opener. The parallels are striking. Up to the "coincidence" of two popes/two high priests.

 

I have been listening for a few hours. I urge everyone to do so. The clarity is so therapeutic to the soul. She puts everything in context. Its totally wonderful.

 

She talks about God intervening to stop what is going on. I am so heartened to hear this. And she talks about the period of peace.

She says that the lambs must follow The Lamb. As it was in those first centuries of persecution. She makes it clear that there is a pattern to this from Old Testament to New Testament. We won't escape the suffering to stay in the Remnant. There is no "rapture" but as Jesus tells us " he who loses his life for My sake will save it"

I agree. We are suffering with the Lord here. Whatever path that takes us.

 

Exactly what Fr Gobbi said. We are in the end times. The end of an era. There is an Antichrist in the end of this era. Fr Gobbi mentioned that this Antichrist is the one mentioned most in Scripture. Satan will be chained after this era. There will then begin an era of peace. But Satan will come back again for a little while before the end of the world.
