US calls for immediate Gaza Ceasefire in draft of UN Resolution.

Because of the Power of the Jewish Lobby in the United States, the US has consistently vetoed earlier resolutions calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. In that light, the resolution below is surprising. Wonder if other members will approve and it will pass. The ongoing invasion of Rafah is going to be disastrous if it doesn't.

Let's Pray for Peace, and a Conversion of Hearts, to Love for God, and Love for Neighbor for the love of God.

    1. "The shift in wording brings the US closer to its European and Middle Eastern allies who are pressing for a ceasefire before a hostage deal if necessary, and appears designed to attract the widest possible support at the UN. It also increases the pressure on the Israeli government, which has been insisting it will carry out a new offensive on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, in the face of strong US objections."

    2. "Washington, DC – The United States has issued its strongest public warning yet to Israel against invading the crowded city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, saying that such a ground operation would deepen the humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave ...

Over the past five months, Rafah’s population has ballooned to more than 1.5 million people, up from about 300,000 before the war ... United Nations experts have warned of looming famine in the territory. And Western countries, including Israel’s allies in Europe, have cautioned the country against assaulting Rafah.

On Monday, the US unambiguously joined those calls, with Sullivan saying that Palestinians in Rafah have nowhere else to go. “Gaza’s other major cities have largely been destroyed, and Israel has not presented us or the world with a plan for how or where they would safely move those civilians — let alone feed and house them and ensure access to basic things like sanitation,” Sullivan said. 3. "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel on Tuesday brushed aside President Biden’s opposition to a planned ground invasion of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, saying that his government would press ahead despite pleas for restraint from the United States and key allies.

Mr. Netanyahu made the remarks to Israeli lawmakers a day after speaking by phone with Mr. Biden, who reiterated his stance against an offensive into Rafah, arguing that it could be disastrous for the people there and that Israel had other ways of achieving its objective of defeating Hamas."

I am sorry, but Israel is plainly driven by hate and economics. With the victory over Hamas and a clear pathway through Gaza to the Mediterranean Sea, Israel can construct a direct gas line to form an new energy source for Itself. It is plain as day. And the USA is assisting her.

    At what horrible price?

Hamas initiated this horrible war and Israel is about to reap tremendous benefits (She thinks)!

    Yep.

    "
The head of the Israeli occupation government, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has proposed the use of the “new port” to be built by the US on the Gaza coast to displace Palestinians from the enclave, Israel’s Kan broadcaster has reported. Kan noted that the proposal was presented by Netanyahu at a special meeting of the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee.

“The port can facilitate the exit of the Palestinians from Gaza,” Netanyahu was quoted as saying. “There is no obstacle to the Palestinians leaving the Gaza Strip, except for the unwillingness of other countries to accept them.”

Called it in this thread back in October: "Israel is preparing to commit Genocide".

"Israel has every right to defend itself. Does it have the right to cause 2+ MN Civilians in Gaza, among whom are 1 MN children, to die, suffer or undergo forced displacement from their homes? Does it have the right to deprive Palestinians of basic needs like electricity, food and water? Is that Christian? Is it decent? Is it humane?"

Praise the Lord! Been praying for this. Am sure others were too. And today, just as we finished celebrating Christ as King on Palm Sunday, and are now celebrating His Incarnation in Mother Mary's Womb and the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel, the UN finally passes a resolution for ceasefire.

"The United Nations Security Council has demanded an immediate ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas in Gaza and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages as the United States abstained from the vote. The remaining 14 council members voted for the resolution on Monday.

"Resolutions of the Security Council are international law, they are always seen as binding on all the member states of the United Nations,” he added."

It is also now 2 years since Russia was consecrated to the Immaculate Heart on March 25, 2022. Let's keep praying for the Conversion of Hearts, and for World Peace. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Also, Satanyahu didn't like the Resolution, which is another proof it is a good one. For once, I agree with Schumer, himself Jewish, that Satanyahu must resign, and there must be fresh elections in Israel. That some Israelis were saying on the streets "We now know you're a Murderer, Bibi! Resign" shows there are some in Israel who are tired of "bibis" wrongs too.

"But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said the US failure to veto the resolution is a “clear retreat” from its previous position, and would hurt war efforts against Hamas as well as efforts to release over 130 hostages.

His office also said Netanyahu will not be sending a high-level delegation to Washington in light of the new US position.

US President Joe Biden had requested to meet Israeli officials to discuss Israeli plans for a ground invasion of Rafah in southern Gaza, where more than 1 million internally displaced Palestinians are sheltering."
