Hello fellow Christians, I'm going through a fair bit of soul searching at the moment, anxiety etc. I'm looking for any recommendations on a Catholic healer here in Ireland, I had hoped to meet John Gillespie but unfortunately he has passed away, may he rest in peace. Any help is much appreciated, Paul
Hi Paul and welcome to the forum from a fellow Irish man, I feel your joining the forum is no accident the community here are more than qualified to assist you in whatever you are searching for, please feel free to ask..
Fr Brendan Walsh of the Pallotines in Thurles. He has a healing service once a month in Thurles and he is in much demand around the country. He had a healing service at the Divine Mercy Conference in Dublin last weekend. He is a very special priest
I said earlier about an Adoration chapel. I have great need of this healing too, like you. I went to a healing mass on Thursday and was prayed over after mass. The Holy Eucharist was exposed during this healing service. Many people were experiencing being “slain in the spirit” but for me, standing there focused intently on Jesus exposed in the Monstrance on the altar was simply the most healing I found Thursday night. It’s awesome to be prayed over in the context of a healing mass. But Thursday night, in prayer, I really felt The Lord was saying to me that a healing service is a good and faithful thing, but true healing is spiritual and will come with regular Adoration in His Presence, not in seeking out healing services.
I couldn't agree more. You might be interested in attending this, it's in Cork, organised by the Dominicans. Eddie Stones is very well known in healing ministry.
Thanks one and all, I've been abroad with work this last while, only returning home today so apologies for my tardy reply. I happened to be in Munich of a friday evening and there was adoration of the holy Eucharist in a beautiful Church until 11pm, hundreds attended. I'll try that mass in Cork tomorrow. God bless, Paul
There is a charismatic prayer meeting at Ennismore montenotte. I think it starts at 8pm on Thursday nights. The woman who leads the meeting is very gifted. You could also try contact Seamus Byrne from Gowran Kilkenny or Kathleen lawlor from kileshin laois. You probably will have to google their phone numbers. Did get to see Eddie Stones tonight?
@indaiatubano I went to the mass yesterday, saturday, I was still in transit on friday so couldn't make that. I thought he would be there again yesterday but I read it wrong. I'll try those you mentioned also, thanks again for your help. Paul
Eucharistic Adoration is a massive part of my life but I struggle really badly with woundedness and a unforgiving. Any advice Brian?...or anyone else?
I have had similar problems, Bartimeaus, with wounds and unforgiveness. I asked Jesus to help me around these areas and He has. I also got very good help from a spiritual healer two years ago, who prayed over me.
They are both spiritual healers who pray over people. Here are two articles about Seamus Byrne. https://www.thefreelibrary.com/HEAL...LUSIVE+Mum+praises+miracle+man...-a0162704493 https://www.thefreelibrary.com/GOD'...+WHO+CURES+IRELAND'S+SICK+I've...-a0163512672
If you haven’t yet, read “I Believe in Love: a Personal Retreat Based on the Teaching of St. Therese of Lisieux.” It teaches not only that you must love Jesus, but that Jesus loves YOU, woundedness, failure to forgive and all. Knowing Christ loves US in a real personal way, despite our sins, failures, woundedness, and inability to forgive, can become the start of healing of all these things. I was in our community’s poustinia recently for a 24 hour period, and spent most my time reading this book. It was extremely helpful. Here’s the view (a panoramic shot) from the inside of our cummunity’s Poustinia: View attachment 9803
Thanks for sharing. It’s a process and it has to start somewhere. I have experienced an ebb and flow in my forgiveness of a certain person who hurt me deeply many years ago. I forgive, and then the wound is fresh again. Then I turn to the Lord once again. The grace to forgive MUST come from Jesus. “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Thank you, Nuala! My prayer life has seemed dry and desert-like...Father Brendan is like a long drink of water.
Nuala this is wonderful!! What is this priest's name? Are their other videos of him on line? Thanks for posting.
