I find that finding somewhere to go to confession can be a bit daunting at times in Ireland.

So I am starting a thread where you can recommend confession locations that you know about in Ireland.
Here are some that I have been to or know about.

Knock has been a go to for me at various stages. Mostly daytime confessions. I am not 100% sure if there is confession on Sundays.

Mount Mellery, 1 hour only, 3pm to 4pm a few days a week. You should probably ring Mount Mellery if you are coming from a distance just for confession. The website might not be fully up to date.

Capuchin Friarys in various locations. Good information on the general Capuchin website. A lot of their Priest's are getting older and confession might not always be available at the times on their website.

If you have missed Mass up to Sunday evening, don't dispair. There is 9pm Mass in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Merrion Road, Dublin. And the confessional is busy all during Mass.

Sunday evening Mass at 7pm in Waterford at the old Dominican Friary, near the main bridge. Now run by the Home Of the Mother order. Beautiful Mass, Beautiful Church and confession during Mass.

    Excellent thread.
There are two monasteries I go to. The first is in my hometown, Derry. It is called Termonbacca - it's handy to me and I go there regularly.
    Excellent priest up there.

The second, and I would recommend this for a day out with the family - is the stunning Ards Friary, just outside of Dunfanaghy in County Donegal. A beautiful and picturesque place to visit (Google it). Confessions are 11-1pm and 3-5:30pm Monday to Saturday plus 3-4:30 on Sundays. There is also daily mass and on holy days and Sundays; twice daily mass.
In addition, they also offer day and overnight retreats. I haven't done any of these but I'd very much like to do one of the overnight retreats. I'd love to stay up there, it is nestled in 200kms of woodland in sheep haven bay with numerous beaches and walks and sea views. We go there regularly and it's always a great experience. I can't recommend it enough.
