Our young vicar said that this flu season. That he could give communion on the tongue more safely than in the hand. God bless him. He would like everyone to receive on the tongue I bet. He is very reverent and devout to Our Lord in the Eucharist.
For some reason I could not post from my cell phone this morning. No matter. Do you think that the situation might be different if you went to the TLM? That at the TLM, Holy Communion might still be given on the tongue? I would certainly try that. Or call ahead and find out. Or look at Facebook
The problem is that most of the faithful in Singapore receive in the hand, and the communion hosts are rather small (smaller than the ones in the US and in Europe, in my experience ). This makes the priests more prone to touch one’s lips/ tongue when giving communion. +
well, this is an urgent problem maybe you can just receive on the tongue on Sunday at the TLM. I am with you. I would make a spiritual Communion rather than receive in the hand. I might catch flak for saying that. But this won't last forever, hopefully. Priests use the smaller hosts in the TLM here, but the fact is that a person is kneeling, and the priest is ;looking down, and has more ease to place the Host on the tongue at that angle. I am sorry to learn of this.
