Time is short! .
Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus said, "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. I'm far from being a Guru at separating true from false prophesies. Neither again would I want to run about crushing the Spirit saying 'This and this is false...' Though I have my own inner certainties about some Church approved Marian visions such as Akita and Betania and some not yet approved such as Medugorje, Garabandal and Kibeho in Rawanda. I often thing that the great Jewish teacher Gamaliel said a very wise thing in scripture: And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. (Acts 5:38-39) Having said this I know from reading Saint John of the Cross and other theologians of Mystical Theology that the vast majority of personal revelations are false. Its not I believe that most are outright lies or demonic, most simply are productions of the persons unconcious, wishful thinking, if you like. Now in considering things I pose this question. What would Our Lady say to us if she was with us tonight. Or another way of putting it if you were to boil down all the Marian Apparitions of our times , what would be the message?? I believe it would be this. 'There is a God and I come to remind you of this. Return to pray, pray the rosary. Fast for you have forgotten the power of fasting. Turn to God, repent and believe the Good News. The time of mercy draws to a close, the time of justice and the Triumph of my Immaculate heart is at hand Now Mary could quite easily have dotted her i's and crossed her t's but she did not do so. She could have spelt out event by event what is coming down. But she did not. Why not? I think exactly because of the reason she that is stated in the first scriptural quotation , that these things should remain hidden from the wise and intelligent and taught to the poor and the lowly, the children of Mary. So this is why I do not believe in people like O'Leary and Tomkiel, because theirs is not the accent of Mary. They teach the wicked to flee the wrath to come. I may of course be wrong in this. I have been wrong before and of course feel free to believe differently Cub and post away about this on the forum. The good God knows I have been wrong before, but they do make me uneasy......
Padraig, Are you sure that you intended to type this part? The prophecies are clear that those who make the consecration to the Immaculate Heart will be called to flee. Indeed we are all sinners.....and I have much room for improvement......but I have never read any message from Heaven through the above mentioned prophets as calling the wicked to flee. I won't attempt to convince you that they are true necessarily.....that is something to be addressed among you, Holy Mother Church and the Holy Spirit. At this time I will add that several of their prophecies have been realized, and many more are being realized in the daily news. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/era-of-peace/links/Prophecy_Realized__001108832836/ I would sugest that we all prepare as Our Lord has advised......such preparations are simple, and painful. What have you got to lose? .
Great reading! Cub, God's principles are unchanging, yet the manner in which he calls us as individuals, families, cenacles, prayer groups, and even parishes, to apply those principles, can differ significantly. My wonderful wife and I have had the grace of a united marriage for almost 25 years. We are one in godly principles (mostly), but our differences in temperment and application contrast significantly. This fall we worked together successfully in repairing one of our garage bays, however, rare were the times we would agree on how to proceed at any given point. It was really quite comical! Your obvious obedience to God's call in your life to be a watchman is such an encouragement! The time and effort to write and organize the articles are obvious. Thank you. I caution you, in your zeal, to not be discouraged by anyone who fails to ascribe to the application of God's warning as you summarize it. Many of the steps you mention are practiced by faithful Catholics as a matter of due course, though the context of their spirituality differs. For myself, the effort to communicate an impending economic collapse and the need for preparation, has failed to attract many listeners. That is not bad. Why? God calls all to the obedience of faith, as Paul states, and at any one time, each of us can only deal with one facet. Catastrophic scenarios are not easily digested!! Here is the one supreme grace on which all faithful Catholics must depend: the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar! It is the glue that binds us together no matter the application God has called us to embrace. It is the key. Perhaps you will consider inserting it into your article about protection and the Blood of the Lamb, where you reference Exodus 12:7. Here is the complete verse: Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat them [the lambs]. Do you see the phrase you failed to include? The Israelites were not saved by the blood only, but also by the eating of the lamb. If you examine the steps for smearing the blood in verse 22, you will also see that the sign of the cross was made at each saved home. Thus we have the following elements: (1) the sacrifice of the unblemished lamb, (2) the sign of the cross with the blood, and (3) the eating of the lamb. Per instructions, these steps were necessary to be saved from the plague. What do they point to: the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass! Paul states in 1Cor5:7-8 ...For Christ our paschal lamb has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the festival, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unlevened bread of sincerity and truth. And Jesus in John 6:54-55 ...Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. Finally, John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that those who believe in him may not perish, but may have life everlasting. There is an inseparable link between Holy Mass and Exodus 12 for we find the same elements: Cross, sacrifice, flesh and blood. Cub, isn't it marvelous; isn't it grand. When you and I receive Holy Communion, especially in the context of Holy Mass, we are in the glory. We are present together beyond space and time. We who converse on this forum are united. Alleluia! And ultimately, the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar is our protection. Even if authorities try to rob us of this treasure, I know on whom I have fed, and he is able to save! This source and summit of our Faith is the essential link for all Catholics, no matter to what application the Good Lord and His Mother call us. Prepare? Yes, with the Eucharist on my tongue and in my heart! In the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
ANIMA CHRISTI Soul of Christ, make me holy. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, fill me with love. Water from Christ's side, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. Good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds, hide me. Never let me be parted from you. From the evil enemy, protect me. At the hour of my death, call me. And tell me to come to you. That with your saints I may praise you. Through all eternity. Amen.
. Thanks Mario, for your excellent post. Indeed, Jesus is the Lamb of God....the antitypical paschal lamb, and it is the offering of His Son on all of the altars of the world that continue to appease the wrath of God.
