Matthew 10:22 says, “You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved." I believe we have entered serious times and we all need to realise the enemy is close at the gates. We will be hated for what we believe and hold true in our hearts. We need to fear only God not man.
Every time I read this scripture passage and others like it, I am, like a Mac truck hitting me head on, brought to the reality of just how much of a coward I truly am and how quickly I am overwhelmed with fear, and yet I trust in God and know that the Holy Spirit (and His spouse our Blessed Mother) will protect me and give me the strength when I truly need it. What a stupid battle we wage over and over again with ourselves with letting fear take hold of us, when the reality is that we have God, the Creator of the universe and all that is, on our side. I love watching movies like The Lord of the Rings, where the good characters are often faced with insurmountable odds, and yet go forward into battle anyway because they know they have good and right on their side.
