If you get a chance you should listen to Fr Ripperger in these three part series. He is truly, truly wonderful. I knew he was very good but I had no idea just how good.
I will listen to these again. Yes he is wonderful. So clear in his teachings and he loves and respects Our Lady so much. His talk on Our Mother of Fair Love can bring me to tears.
I especially found helpful his tslk about the need for detachment and also to fight against the sin of curiosity.
A holy devout priest with a towering intellect and amazing humility. The amount of people who think he is a pumped up pompous prig is astounding. They can't handle his genius and clear and profound teaching.
Priests like Father are the champions of the humble, simple believer who accepts what the Church has always taught. I hope to count myself as one of those
On Sundays after Mass I’m always torn between listening to a Fr Ripperger talk or Fr Mctegue (spelling?) I think both men are brilliant and have great senses of humor
I'm back from my family reunion which took place in the mountains of Colorado's breathtaking beauty. At the 11, 000 ft. level we played in the snow, had the use of an oversized house, and enjoyed the celebration daily Holy Mass. Everyone made it (parents, 6 children, 3 spouses, 10 grandkids), praise God. Nothing is perfect this side of the grave, but it was sweet. And now I had to return to the realism of Fr. Chad! I know there is a lot of talk on MOG, but apart from frustration and sadness, we will always strive to live faith, hope, and love under the Mantle of Our Lady. Thank you all for the encouragement you give me! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you.
I wonder what Father Chad really thinks about Pope Francis? He is so discreet and prudent that I don't think he has ever made a personal statement in this regard.
You are so blessed Terry. I read a chapter of Scripture every morning and at the moment am reading of the Great Patriarches and the promises God made to them. God has blessed you so abundantly. All the Scripture promises are seen so well fulfilled in you and yours. I must spend today counting my own blessings. Gratitude is a great source of joy. My first day camping Forgot my wonderful new Rosary Beads I am so proud off and my medicines I will forget my head next
It is the same with our own Traditional Priest, they must be very careful. But it is not hard to read between the lines . It is wonderful at the moment to find a Holy priest or Vishop you can trust and trust without reserve. It reminds me of years and years ago when we trusted all priests all the time, automatically Times of great, great innocence .now we know
A few months ago preaching at Fr Heilman's church he said that things were so bad in the Church that it had to be said there were within the Church men who were acting with malice to destroy the Church. That there was no other explanation. He did not name names but he was pretty blunt otherwise.
This third of Fr. Ripperger clips is most important for us on the forum. Why? Because most of us love God and are serious about the Faith. This good priest's understanding is that the Chastisement is close and will be most challenging even for Catholics who are doing the basics. Yes, there are the anawim on MOG who need tender support and frequent encouragement. But Fr. Ripperger addresses those of us, who while maintaining good spiritual habits, are not as prepared for what lies ahead of us as we may believe. Speaking for myself, in the last year I've had to eat humble pie. Proof reared its head when I bought a good synthesis on St. Theresa's Interior Castle, called The Devil in the Castle by Dan Burke. It reviews the 7 mansions in a manner which helps one to gauge where he or she is on their spiritual journey. I'm still clawing my way through the third mansion. After listening to the clip I've posted, I again clearly perceive the habits and graces needed to handle what is coming, and I'm not speaking of physical preparation. Father stresses we must regularly fast and do penance to help make reparation for the sins we commit that violate God's Justice. But a committed Catholic also does penance to help make reparation for sins for which one is not personally accountable (i.e. abortion). This is because I need to desire above all to honor God's Glory, and I simply need do more out of love for the Two Hearts. Most of these acts will be interior and not seen by others. Anyway, I won't go any deeper because it is best to hear it from this good priest's own mouth, especially on the theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
