AI is scary on many levels. I was listening to a YouTube advertisement for a travel channel this week, and the female voice used in the ad was AI. If the owner of the channel didn't point it out, you would never know the difference. AI has the ability to impersonate anyone.
We were warned in scripture of a great delusion. But we know Our Lady Mediatrix of all grace will help us discern. I am counting on it.
I showed my son a science video on YouTube the other day...and I felt so weird listening to the narration because I couldn't tell for sure if it was actually a human being narrating it. In the end I concluded it was not human, and it was disturbing to me that it was difficult to tell.
Did anyone see the fake AI-generated photos of the pope in a puffer coat and wearing running shoes? The images look real. Goes to show us that no one's image or person is sacred for them to tamper with. With all of this armor at their disposal (lookalikes, AI tech, hologram & drone tech etc) and a sleepy public, we're in for some interesting times. All the world is a stage. May St Michael protect us from deception!
I had an inspiration today, about the vision of Sr Lucia and that Bishop dressed in white "...we had the impression that it was the Holy Father". When there were two popes, some people interpreted this passage as raising a doubt on whether one was true Pope or not. Now that there is only one pope, that theory has to go for everyone. Here is one: I have not listened to the whole thing, but am just sharing FYI with this article about Rogan and that above show. I saw fake videos being discussed in another thread about a beloved Church figure. We must pray the Holy Spirit for discernment going forward.
as a rule of thumb, publically known tech is 1% of existing tech. the other 99% is classified . Maybe 10% only is possible to know of (not use)in P2P or darknet for example some militaries have live-stream satellites which use heat sensors to see inside buildings. while we have the google maps app.

Regardless of who or what he is, he is stating the absolute truth here. Civilization will collapse. It is already collapsing.
So an AI bot could be created to post as a real person on this forum as well, no one knowing it was a computer. The person using the chat bot could ask it to appear to be a person steeped in the Catholic faith, gracious to all, appeal to people's Catholic sensibilities...honest, obedient, humble, caring. And oh, be true to Catholic tradition EXCEPT for the one highly nuanced lie made to look true that the person behind it wants to promote. Kind of like a Jesuit theologian on steroids...and even more subtle and convincing. AI is able to create incredably touching content that moves people, without the computer actually "feeling" any emotion itself. The Holy Spirit has to guide us. Our guardian angels guard us.
Honestly, when I read about AI imitating loved ones voices it reminded me of the 3 days of darkness and how demons would try to get us to open our doors by doing the same.
Realize AI is already more knowledgeable than the smartest human. It knows how to appeal to our emotions. It will be producing incredible, powerful movies very very soon.
