I think anyone who lives in California and has children would immediately make plans to vacate. I know this is a terrible hardship to contemplate but the alternative is worse. This simply can't stand. I am sure the Thomas More Society or the Center for law and justice will challenge it. It has to be taken to the Supreme Court if necessary. California's "lawmakers" must be insane. Or wicked. Or both.
Yes, AED, this bill has been signed by the Governor to become law. It is shocking enough as it is, but not quite as radical as the bill in California which would allow the government to prosecute non-compliant parents. Diabolical. I've noticed several celebrities have recently left California. For the average family it can be daunting to pick up your life and move to another state. If I were the parent of a child with this disorder I would flee the state ASAP. Move to Florida where they've recently passed a law to protect children from this madness.
