'EXTREMELY RARE' FARSIDE CME: Something big just happened on the farside of the sun. During the early hours of March 13th, SOHO coronagraphs recorded a farside halo CME leaving the sun faster than 3000 km/s: Note: The bright object at 4 o'clock is Mercury: diagram Because of its extreme speed, this CME is classified as "extremely rare," a fast-mover that occurs only once every decade or so. A NASA model of the event shows the CME heading almost directly away from Earth. Good thing! If this blast had of been directed towards us it would have took out our electric grid for sure.

Apparently if this CME had of been facing us it would make the 1859 carrington event look like a tea party Im curious if it was a CME or did something strike the sun who knows ?? as it came from the side we cant see
Do these CMEs happen in bunches sort of like aftershocks after a large earthquake? Could another one be imminent but in our direction? I keep thinking about the significance of March 18th from Medugorie!
hard to know for sure Mike the sun is a huge ball of unstable fire Edited to add latest update from space weather If the CME had been heading for Earth, we would be bracing for a strong geomagnetic storm right now. That might happen next week instead. The two farside active regions will rotate around to the Earthside of the sun within 7 days, potentially bringing potent sunspots into our planet's "strike zone." Well this one will be close on the 25th but im more interested in how close it will get when it comes back around 27th march 2026 they are waiting to finalise the distance..
That solar CME really was a bullet and we really did dodge it. Just reading about it. God is good. If it had not occurred on the "dark side" of the sun's rotation it would have fried all electrical material. Everything. The end of our tech life. Back to the pre electric world. In an instant.
Oh my strange you mention this .....I had a dream last night I was with my brothers and sisters, we were all in a room waiting for something to happen at that point I didnt understand what it was all about then suddenly all the electric went out tv, radios, light switches etc didnt work and the room became very cold one of my brothers said Oh my God I didnt think he would do it I cant believe Putin went ahead and destroyed the electric grids... On another note if you remember my dream about the shortage of grain ?? the first part was I was standing on the shoreline of Malta ??? I couldnt understand this but my wife informs me today that we are all going to Malta in august this year to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary
Wow! Chills. This article went on to say that it takes two years for the sun to rotate. But what nature does not do man can and will do. Putin and/or China have the means to do it. If it comes from the sun everyone will experience it everywhere. I actually believe in prophetic dreams. August huh?
that was the dream I was referring to..I found it strange my wife picked Malta for our trip I never mentioned this dream to her and also we were supposed to be doing the walk of St james but she thought it would be to hard for me with my hip problems...strange very strange of all the places in the world she picked Malta
