I've included my email with all of the details about the vicious and hateful messages Lydia has received. ~Kristan Sent from my iPhone --- Begin Forwarded Message --- Dear ...., “After the protest, Lydia walked into a public bathroom and, unbeknownst to her, was followed in by an abortion supporter who assaulted her – Lydia was violently slammed against a wall, called a ‘pro-life b*tch,’ and left writhing in pain on the floor.” That was a flashback from February of this year, when one of our student leaders, Lydia Taylor, was assaulted in her town because of how outspoken she is on campus against abortion. Lydia, the Leader of the North Carolina Pro-Life Force and president of the SFLA group at Campbell University, has shown time and again that she is unafraid to speak the TRUTH about abortion despite the violence, continued harassment, and even stalking at the hands of the pro-abortion mob. From violent messages sent to her through text and social media, to pro-abortion students TRACKING her exact location on an app, Lydia is under constant threat just because she supports Life! Hundreds of nasty messages filled with hate flood Lydia’s inbox every single day! Messages like the one below where a man said, “Too bad this rape didn’t happen to you” insinuating he wished she’d been raped! Or the woman who told Lydia “your mom should have aborted you.” This constant harassment and bullying coming from the Abortion Lobby is why students like Lydia need our support. She’s been such an incredible leader for us and I don’t want these attacks to discourage her! Nishant, I don’t know how Lydia deals with it all. Honestly, it’s probably because of all the love and support good folks like you have shown her. But whatever her muse is, Lydia continues to fight for life with a fiery passion and a smile on her face. In fact, she’s been leading on the front lines at every protest, rally, or event we’ve held in her area! This kind of resilience is something you rarely see today, yet it’s something that is abundant among Students for Life’s staff and student leaders. That’s why it’s so critical that they hear from us – we at least owe them our support and our words of encouragement!
