I posted a while ago about becoming confused about the pope, then I felt okay, but recently I'm back to being in a confused state. Since I'm confused, I have no answers only questions about current events. Did the pope begin to talk about climate change soon after meeting with U.N. Officials or is it just a coincidence? News reports confirm that the pope was instrumental in bringing the U.S. & Cuba back to diplomatic relations, does the pope lean towards being a communist politically? How many innocent people have been killed, tortured & imprisoned under communism throughout the world? The pope's own spokesman recently admitted to being confused. Before Christianity, many people worshipped the earth, are we returning to that specific belief? We were told in the news about Benedict XVI becoming frail & not able to carry on as pope anymore, he looks like he's been rolling along pretty good since then, did Benedict step down for a different reason? The pope speaks about unfettered capitalism, Planned Parenthood receives taxpayer funds, then donates to Democrat political campaigns, all while profiting from performing abortions & selling body parts, how's that for unfettered capitalism? Is the current state of the weather more important than the slaughter, dismemberment & sale of body parts? Is the climate more important than saving souls? I always thought that was the pope's ultimate role. I'll wait & see what the pope says when he visits the U.S. Then I'll either have more answers or I'll be relegated to a more confused state. One thing I know for sure, I won't be able to stomach anymore gifts given to the pope similar to the communist crucifix that he recently received. Am I being intolerant for thinking this way? One last note; also on Spirit-Digest, it talks about the African presidents begging Obama not to speak about homosexuality, but he does it anyway, what kind of a person would do something like that?
I was wondering about all that also but i heard a good response on Catholic Radio. Everything Our blessed father talks about is for the Universal Church. The problem is that we look at it as if he is speaking directly at us. As humans do...we sometimes take things defensively. So while the US is having are own problems, so are other regions of the world. In the Holy Fathers perspective of climate change...look at it as a world problem. China and India are being destroyed by its factories and waste...major cities in China have black out dates. Sure the US has its problems but when Pope speaks it is on behalf of the Universal church. As for Our Holy Father talking about Capitalism...he is not just talking against the US...he is talking about all countries. Capitalism without morals is not acceptable. Pretty straight forward.
