So many warnings...who knows what may or may not be coming....

Just pray...the only remedy that we know is effective....no doubts about that.

 

After listening to Glenda Jackson which was scary I did a search on Martial Law and this article popped up:

I agree....there are sooooo many theories out there....and most are really " out there". But, I posted it because most of us feel as though something is going on...out of the normal. It just goes to show that a whole lot of folks feel that way too. Guess that's why Spirit Daily posted it.

Hey, with this government and the one coming, I think all bets are off....anything can happen. These are not normal times.....

 

Beth, I hear ya. Some things I read like the article that I posted and I think no way but there is that saying "never say never".
The weird thing is about a week ago, I was thinking of martial law being imposed (I didn't realize all of the implications if that were to happen until I read Ben Carson's thoughts). I was thinking about some theories that a large object is approaching the Earth and I thought the world may have a global EMP and then I figured there would be rioting, lack of food/water, transportation - total chaos - Martial Law. I just got to the point where I convinced myself that there is no large object approaching the Earth and then I read that article - turns out we don't need a natural disaster. I'm not worrying, I just keep praying.

 

Yes, please try not to worry....because it any of those events occur, we have no control over it anyhow. Almost everyone I speak to has a sense that things are going to change....but no one knows how or when. Most do agree that it has spiritual implications.
There is just one thing that I make sure that I do...almost weekly....I get to confessions....go to daily mass, pray the rosary, Divine Mercy and the St. Bridget 12 year prayers. For me, this is how I get my peace. As long as our souls are prepared....we are prepared. It's actually the only preperation we all need all the time anyhow. We could be gone tomorrow....so really, I'm just storing up to get to heaven. It's the only event that we actually know how to prepare for anyhow. At least for me.....

 

Carol...do you belong to a rosary group? If not, you might look for one in your parish. Mine is over 24 years old...we are like family. We discuss these things often...it helps to have like minded friends. We feel that God brought us all together. They are the best friends...because the bond is our faith. It is one of the graces from the rosary.

PS - I found this article which explains "In the United States, martial law has been instituted on the national level only once, during the Civil War, and on a regional level only once, during World War II. Otherwise, it has been limited to the states. Uprisings, political protests, labor strikes, and riots have, at various times, caused several state governors to declare some measure of martial law."

 

I would never underestimate the probability of our current government from using a tatics like martial law in an attempt to achieve a political outcome. I think one has to believe that this administration that has foisted it's will upon the people using executive orders that have been challenged in court, is not beyond an even more extreme measure like martial law if it desired. I don't think it will happen, but we are living in unpredictable times....anything is possible. It's a situation that we have no control over if our government chose to ignore the constitution, or if it manufactured a cause to justify it. Hopefully our military would not cooperate ....if it hasn't been co opted by political appointees. Hopefully, we never need to find out.
