Michael Brown really has lost the plot on his site Spirit Daily His main response to the Irish Abortion referendum was to post a link to the New York Times that bastion of Catholic Orthodoxy (sarcasm). https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/27/...column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news I hope Michael reads the Mother of God forum & this post - this is just pathetic Michael!! Get real and show some spine! As they say in the USA 'waken up and smell the coffee'.
I am afraid it is like walking along a mountain road with a group of friends. You reach a fork on the road and some take the straight path downwards and some the hard, stony path onwards and upwards. A winnowing; a testing; a weeding out. A parting of the ways.
Present events are so like , 'The Lord of the Rings" Frodo represents the journey of the Christian..yet after constant defeats they triumphed. Easter is coming at the end of this Parousia.
I was thinking of LOTR this morning. How relevant it is to our time. Someone somewhere on line--a Catholic Twitter feed--referred to PF as Saruman. Chilling comparison.
Very sad about Michael Brown. Very sad. Also Dawn Eden Goldberg the very eloquent Catholic convert. She is pleading for compassion and understanding for those who voted yes.
Where's her compassion for the innocent babies about to be murdered in our name? Does she believe that a baby in the womb is the child of a lesser God? Evidently, quite a few of the Yes voters believe that other women's children are, in fact, the children of a lesser God because they wouldn't abort their own babies but will enable the murder of babies unfortunate enough to be in the wrong womb. It's evident, too, that more than a few Catholic clergymen share that belief unless, of course, their hiding behind the excuse that celibate men have no right to defend the 5th Commandment is really a ploy to promote a married and female priesthood.
Precisely. I found her commentary very troubling. Waffle words and false compassion embolden the very things we saw Friday and following. She got very strong pushback on her Twitter page. Very strong. I was glad to see such clear refutations.
When you consider the, 'New Church', of the , 'Revolution', they are erecting it is so very, very attractive in many ways. If you go along with it you certainly will never ever get into any kind of trouble with the State or State Agencies of any kind. Society and the media will fall over themselves to approve you and even lionise you. You would certainly not expect any kind of in Church power or promotion unless you fall into it. In terms of everyday morality it would be much easier, being able to do pretty well as you liked if you , 'felt inside' , it was fine; its fine. Best of all you would feel fully part of wider secular society. On the other hand if you stick with the true Church..well to put it mildly things are going to get very, very rough indeed. So I can well see why folks are selling out in the droves.
I cannot access Spirit Daily today on my pc. When I get it on my smart phone, it is yesterday's news. Anyone else getting this sign that the website is down?
