We live in interesting times - some Muslims are awaiting a saviour figure that will lead them into battle against the infidel. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,579640,00.html Catholic prophecy indicates that a Holy Monarch and a Holy Pope will emerge in the end times to defeat the Muslims that will have conquered Europe. I wonder if the illumination/warning will lead to the rise of a Madhi for the Muslims?
“Mahdi” means the Guided One. Many Muslims expect the Mahdi to destroy the Jews and all those who they consider to be suppressers of Islam. He will make a seven year peace treaty with a Jew of priestly lineage. 14. He will conquer Israel for Islam and lead the “faithful Muslims” in a final slaughter/battle against Jews. 15. He will establish the new Islamic world headquarters from Jerusalem. 16. He will rule for seven years (possibly as much as eight or nine). 17. He will cause Islam to be the only religion practiced on the earth. 18. He will appear riding a white horse (taken from the description in Revelation, possibly symbolic). 19. He will discover some previously undiscovered biblical manuscripts that he will use to argue with the Jews and cause some Jews to convert to Islam. 20. If the many prophecies by Saints and Blesseds of an Islamic invasion of Europe are anything to go by, then it is likely that the leader of that revolution will be seen as the Madhi.
I am sorry I did not read and study the Q'uran more closely in the past. But when I don't believe Mohammad is God's Prophet it makes it difficult to plough through , I am afraid. A bit like trying to read through Joseph Smiths writing in Mormonism, its hard. If I was inclined to believe that the Angel Moroni appeared to Joe Smith, or that the Arcangel Gabriel appeared to Mohommed in a cave it would be wonderful to read these things. But one reason why I would like to read the Q'uran and the history of Islam is to understand exactly what Mohommed's teachings were on the use of violence. Did he really want folks to be converted by the sword or not? If so then in fact, I would say that Al Quaeda are the true face of Islam and the so called, 'Moderates' are the false face. I had a very good friend called Khan from Pakistan one time who gave me a copy of the Q'uran to read and when I gave it back to him he asked me if I believed in the 'Prophet ' . He looked very downcast when I said I did not, I was only always curious about other faiths and how they walked to God. At the start of the Q'uran it specifically says that unbelievers will most certainly go to hell. Curious I asked him what he thought of me? He said that I was one of the best persons he had ever met. I then asked him if he thought as an 'unbeliever' I was going to hell. He nodded his head and said I was most certainly going to hell. I asked him then how, if Allah was merciful and good He could send a good person as Khan said I was...to hell for all eternity. He said he did not know but that I was most certainly going to hell. This kind of shocked me , because it so different from the way we, in the modern west think of things. That someone should come up against a fundamental illogic yet overcome it simply by saying, 'Well its in the Book' However it has not always been so. I remember in religion class at school long ago asking if Protestants could go to heaven and the Religious Brother looking very doubtful. Their is a Evangelical lady at work Said, who is always trying to convert me, she is convinced that unless I convert I will most certainly go to hell for not becoming, 'Born again'. But I think that generally we in the West cannot understand those of Islam who have taken up the Sword against us. I do not believe that until the day comes when we can send soldiers against them who really, really believe and have a deep , deep faith we will always be defeated. The only way we can put such forces against them is if our own societies convert and become of deep faith themselves. Currently Europe is a cess pit of corruption, there is no way it can stand against Islam. To be honest when you look at a lot of their countries and the way they enact their laws they seem to me to be far more moral that Europe. Time and time again from Islamic commentators you get this feeling that they believe Europe is under God's Judgement and like a rotten fruit is set to fall. I am afraid they are right. When it does fall we will be shown no mercy, no mercy at all. The Bible shows us this, in Epoch after Epoch Empires rise, become corrupt, enter into God's judgement and Fall again. The bigger they come, the more corrupt they stoop to, the harder they fall. Because Europe rose so high and its corruption so immense its fall shall be unlike any ever seen before in history. We are headed for enslavement and death. Every Empire that ever existed believed it would last forever. But already we can see the death and collapse of Europe all around us. Plummeting birth rates, economic collapse. political disarray. complete loss of faith. moral collapse....Our cities are more and more filled with the followers of Islam and this before the foot of a single Islamic Jihadhi has set foot on our shores. I wonder if this Mahdi figure is for this generation as he would be able to unite the disparate Muslim forces and give them a common figurehead? If they are awaiting such a figure and he emerges even the 'moderate' Muslim people would turn 'extremist' if they are led by some 'holy' charismatic leader. Western civilzation is undoubtedly in severe decay rotting from the inside. It is only a matter of time until it collapses. The first sign of disintegration will be I believe a severe economic collapse. This will indicate that all is not well and people will begin to panic. They have made money, comfort and entertainment their God. When these trinkets are taken from them many will not be able to cope. Meanwhile, the enemy is sitting like a vulture waiting to devour the cadavar of western civilization.
I believe that Satan will try to attack all the foundations of our faith when the time of the Antichrist comes, probably this false gospel will coincide with the finding of a tomb that will be attributed to Christ in order to undermine the belief in the resurrection
Sometimes it seems to me that God allows His enemies to slaughter His degenerate people because His enemies are already damned. Unless they repent. Can you ever see the muslims repent from killing Christians or anyone else who does not submit. Me thinks not. So you might say God thinks those enemies of His might as well be hung for a sheep as hung for a lamb. His enemies will be damned and those of us who are slaughtered when that day comes will be damned with them if we are not in a state of grace. I do pray for the conversion of Jews, muslims and all unbelievers. God have mercy on them/us all.
I think that when the anti Christ comes, he will be accepted by muslims as their madhi. He will be accepted by Jews as their Messiah, and many Christians even Catholics will accept him as Christ returned. Remember at Holy Mass we say; Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again. Some Catholics will think this is it, when we know Jesus Christ will not live in a house or palace anywhere on earth. He already lives in each Tabernacle and in each Consecrated Host around the world, He remains with us Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, if only the veil was lifted from our eyes. This must be why Jesus said He would come on the clouds surrounded by many angels, so we don't get misled when some miracle working dude shows up. I do think many Christians even Catholics will be sucked in because so many no longer know the Faith or read the Gospels and letters of the Apostles.

I was just thinking of the time Pope St John Paul kissed the Q'uran. I still think that was an error. But what do I know? He was a Great Pope and Saint.
A lt of the Islamic Prophesies about the coming Mahdi are very, very specific. A lot of them centre on him coming from Iran and somehow coming out of a well.
Muslims KILL to bring others into their faith, but Christians DIE to bring others to theirs. We follow our leaders. This Mahdi sounds like THE Antichrist by the description.
Islamists expect the imam mahdi to be descended from Mohammed; and the Jews expect the Messiah to descend from King David, I believe the Antichrist will be claims to fulfill these two geneologies.
