Wed Nov 6, 2019 - 12:18 pm EST The pagan god Moloch greets visitors to the Colosseum, Rome, as part of an exhibition that opened Sept. 27, 2019. sanmarinortv.sm / screen grab ROME, November 6, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A reconstruction of a pagan idol who demanded child sacrifice was stationed at the entrance of Rome’s Colosseum as part of a secular historical exhibition. The presence of the idol raised particular concern among Catholics, as it was erected nine days before the Amazon Synod and the subsequent scandal over the veneration of the Pachamama idol at the Vatican. The statue of Moloch, worshipped by both the Canaanites and the Phoenicians, is part of an exhibit dedicated to Ancient Rome’s once-great rival, the city of Carthage. The large-scale exhibition, titled Carthago: The immortal myth, runs until March 29, 2020.
Disgusting! I am so tired of the politically correct, "fairness" crowd who are all but fair or politically correct. The Pachamama episode was not enough for Italy?
Things have been working out quite well for Italy since they did this, haven't they? (Sarcasm very much intended)
As far as I remember they didn't only actually kill the babies but burnt them alive on red hot coals. As indeed Satanists still do today. Many, many years ago when I was very young a priest told me a story about something like this (don;t read this story if you easily scared). He said one night late in his Rectory the door got knocked. It was a man a stranger and asked to speak with the Father. The priests invited him in and the gentleman explained that he was a Satanist but had repented and wished to have his Confession heard. When the Father asked him what had changed his mind he explained that he had recently attended a Satanic Rite were the baby of one of the witches had been Sacrificed on an urn of hot coals. He said that the screams of the poor child would stay with him forever. The priest held our some holy water to the stranger and invited him to bless himself. But the poor man really struggled to put his hand in it. The priest encouraged and encouraged him but when the guys hand touched the water the lights in the room dimmed, wnet out and came back on again.
"The statue of Moloch was erected seven days prior to an event in the Vatican Gardens where the pagan goddess 'Pachamama' was worshipped." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Moloch statue is in the Colosseum some 6 kilometers( ~4 miles) away from the Vatican City and Vatican gardens. Pretty much similar to being in a museum, which is what the Coloseum is ...an architectural and historical museum and more.... On display, not in a church or worship setting. the Colosseum is not run by the Vatican , but by the Italian State.
