How many people were at your Immaculate Conception Mass?

I realize some of you are in places where Mass attendance is being restricted, but for those of you who aren't... Were your Masses unusually full on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception?

I'm at an FSSP parish and they were saying yesterday that they've never seen such a large number of people on a holy day of obligation (non-Sunday) before, ever. We filled every available space in the church amd both halls/buildings. Then my sister told me today that her Novus Ordo parish was also very full on Immaculate Conception, to the point that her priest commented about it during the homily, saying there were at least 2,000 people there!

So I'm curious, did this happen around the world? Did Mary get more people to Mass than usual and is it some kind of sign?

About average I would say. I was the only person who stayed after to pray the rosary.

I went to A Boston College upper campus Mass at 10 pm. There werent any Masses past 7:30 in Boston. I work at 9 in the morning till 8 at night an 11 hour shift. So it is tough waking up for the 8 am Mass or an earlier Mass.

My parish had 4 Masses - I wound up at the 7pm (which is also a Sunday Mass time). I would say there were about 150 people which is about average for that time (fewer people go to the late Mass)

The church was quite full. This photo was taken at the end of mass, 8 p.m., on the side altar. I like to drive to Porto on this day for the evening mass in the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.

I was surprised there were not Masses past 8. People are struggling to survive and put food on the table and many students have classes during the day. The Low Mass use to be designed for the worker so you could go on break being about 15 mins no homily. 30 to 45 minutes for a Mass can be tough to swing during the work week.

I went to evening Mass. Not many there. No chance of staying a while to pray because the volunteers appeared with the bottles of sanitiser spray as soon as most people had left the church.

There was a goodly number of fellow parishioners. Besides, Fr. Francis had such a good homily, I was glad it was that Holy Mass that Geralyn and I attended! Immaculate Mary was pleased for sure!:ROFLMAO:

We had our Church pretty full but not like on Sundays. There were about 300. It was my first year in this parish.

My church had 3 masses - the vigil the night before and one in the morning at noon. The same number of masses as on Sunday but at different times. I noticed there were fewer people at the mass I attended than on Sunday

Ok, I guess it wasn't as widespread as I'd hoped. :( I wonder if it happened throughout TX...perhaps a spiritual fruit of the recent almost-full abortion ban here?

Churches are full in conservative areas and conservative/traditional parishes, because we are awake to the times we are in and people are turning to God as they are very concerned about what is upon us, that's a very good thing.

Churches remain empty in liberal areas because they have turned their backs on God and think things are going along swell, diabolical disorientation on display.

It's about a 50/50 split, just like everything in the world these days. Pick any issue, I can state my take on it and 50% will agree with it, the other 50% will want to take my head off. Ah well, these things must come...

Can't help but think of this is the case in the world right now:

[15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold, nor hot. I would thou wert cold, or hot. [16] But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold, nor hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth. [17] Because thou sayest: I am rich, and made wealthy, and have need of nothing: and knows not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold fire tried, that thou mayest be made rich; and mayest be clothed in white garments, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thy eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see. [19] Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore and do penance. [20] Behold, I stand at the gate, and knock. If any man shall hear my voice, and open to me the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

[21] To him that shall overcome, I will give to sit with me in my throne: as I also have overcome and am set down with my Father in his throne. [22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.
