I'm thinking what can you do for this special day? Right after Mass on Sunday I sprinted over to our Priest and asked him if he was going to join in the Consecration Friday at Mass? He said he just got the notice from the Bishop that morning and was waiting for the official Consecration and if it did he would say it Friday. There is Eucharistic Adoration from 7 a.m. To 7:30, then a rosary, them Mass at 8. I asked him if I could bring my hammered dulcimer to Mass and play Immaculate Mary as the recessional. He was very receptive to that. This is not easy as Im a night person so I will have to set the alarm! But I am so excited and this will be a day for celebration, fasting, and penance. What an opportunity of a lifetime!

Unless my FSSP parish announces an official consecration event on Friday, my family will be going to the Dallas cathedral to join the Bishop for the rosary, Mass, and the consecration around noon I think. All the Catholic church bells will be rung throughout the diocese and I want my kids to hear it. I want them to remember this, because I truly believe it is the turning point of our time.

We will fast until the consecration, then celebrate Mary's solemnity in the evening.

1929 Sister Lucia “Then Our Lady said to me: ‘The moment has come when God asks the Holy Father to make, in union with all the bishops of the world, the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, promising to save it by this means.’

‘So numerous are the souls which the justice of God condemns for sins committed against Me, that I come to ask for reparation. Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray.’

Incredible insight here - our Lady reveals in 1929 that the justice of God condemns numerous souls --

How much worse is our world today? A hundred-fold, a thousand-fold?

    Hell is certainly not empty.

On February 7, 1954, Father Lombardi, after much insistence, but at an inopportune time for Sister Lucia, managed to speak with her in the parlor of the Carmelite convent in Coimbra. He wrote later of the impression she made on him: “Her face was simple, her voice clear and without the slightest trace of the artificiality which can be so easily assumed in certain situations. She was not well; in fact, she was running a temperature. I questioned her:

Tell me if the Better World Movement (which was already known to her) is the Church’s response to the words of Our Lady to you.

Father, she replied, there is certainly need of this great renewal. Without it, and considering the present state of humanity, only a limited part of the human race will be saved.

Do you really believe that many people go to hell? I myself hope that God will save the greater number, and I even wrote it in a book entitled The Salvation of Those Who Have No Faith.

    Father, many are condemned.

It is certain that the world is an abyss of vice….Still, there is always hope of salvation.

No, Father, many, many are lost.

Thank you Glenn Beck for sharing this with your high rated audience; some of whom may have never heard of Fatima.

At the end, Glenn said he grew up Catholic and went to mass on Saturday's by himself and prayed the rosary. He said it is a beautiful prayer and he might just join us in prayer!

Good of Glenn to do this. There are so many, even Catholics who are not aware. When the topic of Russia and Ukraine comes up in conversation, I've been altering people to the consecration on March 25. I've found that most listen very closely because they are fearful that Putin will resort to nuclear weapons. They are curious, and ask many questions about the consecration. Isn't it amazing how God can open the door to conversion.

My sister's atheist fiance is watching this consecration with great interest as well... He says if something really good comes from it, he might have the proof he's been looking for that there is a God!

While I share great hope the Consecration of Russia and the Ukraine will bring enormous graces and blessings and peace, I also feel it is prudent to accept in our time it could take a few years to realise the gifts from God this Consecration will bring. We must trust Jesus and Mary and do what they ask.

If we recall when Pope Saint John Paul made the Consecration in 1984, it was 1989 before we saw the fall of the iron curtain. And there was bedlam in Russia among the population, with some people wishing communism was back at the helm just to get relief from their difficulties.

I do believe it is possible there would once again be a time of struggle as Heavenly graces come against evil practices at the human level. So we will need to continue with our efforts in Faith, Hope and Charity no matter what we see around us at home or abroad.

Let us wait in joyful hope for the coming of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Praise God.

Keep Watch and Pray, or as Saint Padre Pio once said; Pray, Hope and don't Worry.

I hope this consecration will bring us the conversion of Russia and the world, and also stop the schism in the German Church that seems imminent as the end of the synodal process approaches next year.

The Diocese of Buffalo is participating. I just received the e-mail notification below, which included the text of the consecration as an attachment:

To all the faithful in the Diocese of Buffalo:

In a letter sent this morning, Pope Francis has officially invited the Church to join him in "a solemn Act of Consecration of humanity, and Russia and Ukraine in particular, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary” on Friday, March 25th, the Solemnity of the Annunciation.

He states in part that, “This Act of Consecration is meant to be a gesture of the universal Church, which in this dramatic moment lifts up to God, through his Mother and ours, the cry of pain of all those who suffer and implore an end to the violence, and to entrust the future of our human family to the Queen of Peace.”

Bishop Mike will celebrate the 12:10 PM Mass at the Cathedral on Friday, March 25th to allow for participation in this consecration. Priests are invited to concelebrate, deacons are invited to vest, and any religious or faithful that would like to join are, of course, welcome.

Bishop Mike will also lead Stations of the Cross for the people of Ukraine on the same evening, March 25th, at 6:30 PM at the Cathedral, with Very Rev. Marijan Procyk, Pastor of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Buffalo, offering a reflection.

Parishes may also wish to offer Masses, holy hours, or rosaries during this time to pray for Ukraine and the conflict with Russia as we call upon the Lord for peace. Since the Annunciation is a day when fasting is relaxed, it may also be a worthy act to offer a fast for Ukraine on this day, similar to the one suggested on Ash Wednesday.

The text of the Act of Consecration is attached, and the Pope encourages all to pray the prayer throughout the day in union with one another.

Please bring this to the attention of your people in whatever ways possible.

May God bless you and protect the people of Ukraine!

I pray that the consecration opens the hearts of unbelievers, especially our family members who have fallen away from the faith. I am filled with hope that we will be blessed with great graces, many conversions.

I received an email from EWTN. They are going to cover everything concerning the Consecration beginning at 12 noon Eastern Daylight Time on March 25. You can check EWTN online for the time adjustment to your time zone.
I am happy that so many forum members are able to go to Mass and services in person.

I must say that the fact that Pope Francis has failed to encourage the Faithful to fulfill Mary's request to practice the 5 First Saturdays saddens me greatly. He can simply respond, "No one asked me to request that essential part of Our Lady's Plan. All the more reasons for us to make that request known now that the current Consecration will be done tomorrow. So I challenge each of us to do the five First Saturdays starting in April and get at least 3 other family members or parishioners to do it with you. If you've already fulfilled that request, do it again, please!(y)

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
