Jeremy Boland, Assistant Principal of Cos Cob Elementary School: “Believe it or not, the open-minded, more progressive teachers are actually more savvy about delivering a Democratic message without really ever having to mention politics.” • Boland: “So, it's subtle. They [teachers I hire] will never say, ‘Oh, this is [a] liberal or a Democratic way of doing this.’ They'll just make that the norm -- and this is how we handle things, it's subtle…That's how you get away with it.” • Boland: “The conservative [teacher], who is stuck in her ways. I’ll never be able to fire her, and I’ll never be able to change her. So, I make an impact with the next teacher I hire.” • Boland: “Protestants in this area [of Connecticut] are probably the most liberal. But if they’re Catholic -- conservative…You don’t hire them.” • Boland: “If someone is raised hardcore Catholic, it’s like, they’re brainwashed -- you can never change their mindset.” • Boland: “For one position, I think we had 30 applicants. So out of all those applicants, I don’t think I interviewed anybody over the [age] of 30…the older you get, the more set in your ways -- the more conservative you get.” • Connecticut Law, Section 46A-60B1, specifically bars discriminatory employment practices. A violation occurs if anyone refuses to hire or employ people “because of the individual’s race, color, religious creed, age, sex, gender identity or expression.”

I think that this is widespread in Blue states, it's scary. A good friend of mine's daughter is a teacher in NY and within a week of January 6th the teachers were told to teach their students that it was an insurrection and those charges have never been officially made, scary.
In addition, I think that we also know that many tech companies like Google etc. do not hire conservatives. I sort of remember a video which exposed Google for this or something to that effect. Also, very scary. So much for the land of the free when there is no free speech/freedom of thought for conservatives.

I was in a graduate program at a Catholic University more than 20 years ago, to be a teacher. I was told that they would not give me a license because I was too conservative, and they didn’t want conservative teachers in Minnesota

    That’s awful. I think it’s also illegal.

Yet it’s anti-science to suggest that what passes for objective science has an atheistic bias, silly fundamentalist. If most scientists not atheist or materialist are filtered out from respectable scientific circles….

I think there are several things that struck me about Jeremy Boland.

The first was how proud and arrogant he was. He basically took a long, long, long time informing us all about how clever he was. He reminds me of myself when I lost the Faith. I was hugely hugely taken with how clever I was. It makes me so sad to recall it. But pride comes before a fall.

The second was how arrogant he was. It was his was or the high way. He was right and everyone else is wrong. No consideration for anyone else maybe, even maybe being right. Again my younger self in a nutshell. How awful.

The third thing was something I never had which was an animus or hatred fro the Church and all things Catholic. In an off hand way that is a huge compliment and makes me feel proud.

The fourth thing was his hatred fro Conservatism. Winston Churchill said that anyone under the age of 30 who is not left wing has no heart. But that anyone over the age of 30 who is not Conservative has no brain. It strikes me that Mr Boland is stuck in some kind of perpetual time warp.

The fifth thing is his disdain for the old generation. In all cultures and at all times peoples of the world venerated the older generations. Mr Boland appears to think that the younger you are the wiser you are. Go figure.

The sixth thing was concern for his poor soul. He conscience or anyone kind of morality does not reproach him in the least for gravely immoral and illegal actions. May God have mercy on his poor soul , prayers.

But there indeed but for the grace of God go I.

I am a Great Sinner but I know I have a Great Saviour.

    May God forgive them.

Years and years ago I applied to be an unpaid counsellor to those considering suicide.

Upon discovering I was Catholic they asked me if I would refer a woman considering abortion to the right place.

I said I would not, no more than I would refer a woman considering killing her husband to the address of a Mafia Hit man.

I was thrown out the door so fast my feet never hit the ground. :D:D

But at least I could see it coming. But the Mr Boland's of this world sneak up on you. So sad, what a good Irish name. Boland.

Yes, I should have reported it. But, I was young and didn’t know what to do. I ended up becoming a nurse instead.

This reminds me, Minnesota is considering a new law where anyone wanting a teaching license would need to demonstrate agreement with and support of gender affirming care ( support for children having sex changes) LGBT families, abortion, critical race theory, Black Lives Matter, etc. So evil.
