Hi guy's, I,m back! I've been dipping in and out over the last two weeks and have'nt had an opportunity to post anything-I've LOAD'S of questions to ask you all! This forum is my new official addiction! Regarding the Warning-If you have had Confession and admitted all your sins would all of your life (sins and all) be shown to you in that moment or moments. And how do you atone for sins? I've lots going on in my head at the moment regarding all of Catholisism. All good thank God!

    Hi Siobhán.

The visionaries of Garabandal have asserted that the Warning will not be a sort of life review, but that it will make us aware of the wrongs we have done in our lives, the sins on our consciences. Fr Gobbi has likened it to a 'mini judgment' and this is also misleading; God will not judge us on the day of the Warning, instead He will offer Mercy and Forgiveness.

It is immensly difficult to try and describe something none of us have ever experienced before, so we can only really go by what the visionaries have stated.

The Warning cannot possibly show us every sin we have committed, but it most likely will show us the most grave sins on our consciences that we have not repented from.

To repent from sins, the Confessional is not absolutely necessary, albeit highly recommendable. You could offer your daily prayers as penance for your sins, you could name a specific serious sin(s) in your prayers or at Mass and offer penance. Because one of the greatest faults which God will accuse humanity on the day of the Warning is that many people do not practise repentance nor make acts of penance. Acts of penance greatly please Our Lord. The more penance we do in this lifetime, the less we may have to do in Purgatory, and of course, the closer we come to God and His Blessed Mother.

To root out as many sins as possible, a good examination of conscience is very helpful, especially if done regularly. Use the 10 commandments as a guide, to see if any of these have been broken in any way.

In the Spanish language the visionaries called it 'El Aviso',
which can be translated as 'warning' but this is a narrow meaning.
El Aviso can also mean 'admonishment', 'information', 'advice',
    'to prompt', 'take notice'.

I think the 'warning' will be all of these things as God cannot be
restricted. I do believe each person will have a revelation of their
sins but also I believe it is possible for God to communicate at an
even deeper level to our souls, if he should so choose.

Thus, through his 'warning', Saul was transformed into St Paul,
in other words, the warning is a 'great grace' able to transform
[over time] great sinners into saints depending upon our response
    and subsequent conversion towards God.

When Conchita was asked how long the warning would last she
responded 'that 5 minutes would be more than enough'. In other
words this will not be a 'one second wonder' but an intimate and intense
encounter with the holiness of God. This is more than enough time
for God to reveal the depths of sin in our lives. Some great sinners may die from
the shock of this experience. But many holy people will be transformed
from one degree of glory unto another. Why? Because the God we believe
in is 'generous beyond belief' and I believe the warning will be a real
blessing and grace for those who love Jesus Christ.

And for those who are on the road to Christian perfection Divine light will
penetrate into the very marrow of the soul revealing our
imperfections and exposing those dark areas of our lives that
only God can see and that need purification if we desire to be
    saints.

God will accomplish much more than we can ever imagine with the
warning. Still many will reject this great grace and due to habitual
and sinful habits return to their old ways. The lukewarm will convert.
The faithful and holy will become holier because of the experience of
    the 'el Aviso'.

A good book about the Warning:

"The Miracle of Illumination of All Consciences"
    by Thomas W Petrisko. (Amazon.com)

It's basically a compendium of the various prophecies about the Warning, though be advised there are one or two false prophets listed. A good book nonetheless.

Thanks for your meanings and advice! Years ago I bought a book about the warning and the tribulation-I had to buy the same book three times as I kept giving it away! Just one of my habits-if I like a book I have to share it with everyone! I'd like also to know how to atone for sins that have been confessed or how to do penance. I have'nt come across anything in my trawling of the internet and I'm sure there is lots on it somewhere but somehow it's eluding me!
    Thanks again!
