I went to confession in a foreign land. Pope Francis and the current state of our Church has led me to speak out and I needed our Lord to speak to me in the confessional. The priest said. 'No, it is not a sin. This proves you love the Church. We must speak the truth.' He continued speaking about the things that are talked about on this forum. But the best of what he said to me was. 'Give praise and thanks to God in all the things you see and recieve.' So now I am finding that I am getting into the habit of looking at anything and giving praise to He who created it. The sky, trees, mountains etc. Even if it is a magnificant building, I can praise him who gave us the gift of building. Maybe during this climate of spiritual battle, it is very important to build up our God. Doing this more often must also weaken the devil?
I often also thank God for the trials and tribulations that he places before us, as this let's me gift it back to him for conversions and the reparations of sins.
