I've heard that certain bishops (ex. Los Angeles) have now banned confessions. How horrific! But this sacrament is so holy, so beautiful and necessary. The following wonderfully instructs in this truth! Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner!
Some of the bishops are idiots as they approved homosexual priests, formation of priests into formation and factory of turning out homosexual priests or abusers with no psychological screening. Just remember mc Carrick as he went all the way to the rank of cardinal. Which in turn means that he approved and probably ordained homosexual priests with his full knowledge and assent as well. Also some bishops don't believe supernatural as they don't experience it or ignore it. I call the confession as 'mini exorcism'. To be honest with you, I didnt believe it until it happened. That was when I confessed a sin related to TM, such as renouncing TM, then all of a sudden I was weeping as it left me. It's easier for the evil spirits to enter it via reiki or TM but a lot lot harder to get it out of it. Confession offers us a way to get out of it. This is what some bishops don't get it as laity does. I believe PF did have supernatural experience in confession when he was 18 that time which turned him into a priest.

Yes, I was a great advocate of TM while in college and successfully recruited a friend into the practice. It is very dangerous though because the desire to excel is a subtle, but powerful entrapment into pride (Look, I can levitate!). Such deceptions of advancement truly. Even to this day, JoeJerk tries to entice me to recall former mantra! Lord have mercy! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
When I hear of things like this I am exceedingly grateful for our Archbishop and local priests. They have made reconciliation available through this time and truly gone above and beyond to help those who are struggling. Some Diocese I have read that even extreme unction is unavailable to the sick and I can not fathom how alone some must have felt while in their last days on this earth. I take heart that the Grace of God covered them in their time of need.
