Thank you, Beth. I have read snippets of this information before and I adjusted my tithing accordingly. You probably would not be surprised at how many people do not believe these revelations. I was discussing spiritual growth with a lifelong Catholic who is probably one of the most devout and holy women I have ever met. When I mentioned the current problems in the Vatican, she didn't have a clue what I was talking about.
I can't believe that you just said this. I get the same reaction. I've come to understand why so many folks, even if you tell them, find it hard to believe....because it is just UNBELIEVABLE !.....but it's all true..... The thing I try hardest to impress on them is that it is NOT OUR FAITH, but evil people within our church trying to destroy it. On the CCHD....Catholic Campaign for Human Development: One day after mass I was speaking with my former pastor about the evils of CRS....Catholic Relief Services. He agreed with me completely and went on to open my eyes to CCHD. I remember standing there for a few seconds speechless and finally asked," then why are their envelopes for both of these evil organizations sent to us?" He just looked down, nodded his head and said, "Ask the bishops...it's their call, not mine." I was as speechless as those I try to warn now....and even now I still find it hard to believe....but sadly, it's true. God help these bishops who will account to God for allowing this....and to think it is being funded with dollars from innocent Catholics who abhore what they are doing with that money. This is why I pound the drum....someone has to tell folks. I'm not standing before the judgement throne of God and trying yo defend my silence. Someday we may need to give up our life for our faith, until then, I'll tolerate the scorn of those who hate to hear the clanging bell
