Pope's Mass: Our Lady doesn't work in a post office, She doesn't mail out letters every day

November 14, 2013. (Romereports.com) During his daily morning Mass at the Vatican Pope Francis talked about wisdom. He explained that the worldly spirit of curiosity, leads people towards a state of confusion, adding that wanting physical proof can often be misleading. As an example the Pope referenced, people who say 'I know a visionary, who receives daily letters from Our Lady.' But the Pope explained that 'Our Lady' loves everyone and doesn't work at a post office.

    POPE FRANCIS
“The spirit of curiosity distances us from the Spirit of wisdom because all that interests us is the details, the news, the little stories of the day. Oh, how will this come about? It's in the wanting to know how. It's the spirit of the how! And the spirit of curiosity is not a good spirit. It is the spirit of dispersion, of distancing oneself from God, the spirit of talking too much.”

The Pope also said that saints showed wisdom because they always carried on their journey under the presence of God.

One has to wonder where our Holy Father is headed with this kind of rhetoric.

He is simply saying... Hey...our Blessed Mother loves us...but all these conflicting messages from a multitude of so called visionaries leads to confusion and the disquiet of spirit. He is simply saying...we have the Mass, the Bible, the 7 Sacraments . The Church has always taught prayer, fasting, conversion, repentance and reconciliation. We don't need to live day to day with baited breathe awaiting a "new" message everyday from some self proclaimed visionary.

    Agreed.

But one must wonder if this is a precursor to a decision on Medjugorje on the part of Pope Francis.

I am starting to think that is what this is all about. A negative judgement on Medjugorje. Which is confusing because I was under the impression that Our lady told Ivan that this was her pope. I figured that meant a positive for medjugorje. Either way this is the beginning of something...or at least it sure feels that way.

Lets not be pessimists here! We know that Medjugorje is real. The Pope has not done anything but tell people to quit being so curious and I don't know about you, but I know so many 'visionaries' it isn't funny. I wholeheartedly know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Holy Spirit, Our Lady and Our Lord desire to speak to each and every one of us. I do NOT however believe EVERYONE has a message from our Lady, Our Lord or the Holy Spirit to the world. Its one thing to be guided quietly and grow in holiness with a spiritual director, but the blow by blow (like John Leary for example) is just to much (for me) to believe.

God bless the man and his wife are incredibly devout and kind and daily communicants....but I still do not think its real. I do believe that those that have a good spiritual director and have been allowed to give public messages are brave souls. Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water!:coffee:

I hope you're right MS7, I can't see how anyone who has investigated the Medjugorje apparitions could come up with a negative decision. I will try to think positive,..nothing happens unless God allows it right? Yes I know Medjugorje is real. I do have a friend who believes in John Leary,..it drives me nuts :cautious:

Maybe the same forces that have stopped the "consecration of Russia" are trying to get rid of Medj and the pope can't stop it. Between this, the Philippines, and the slaughter of Christians going on things are getting incredibly depressing.
