I really like this thread you've started padraig.
One thing I've noticed with Pope Francis is that he is a good source of inspirational sayings.
I shall be on the look out to contribute to this thread, but when i do I'll leave it to you to add the 'visuals'. :)

Ahh Francis always with the poor. It reminds me of what my mother used to say when we were children, and wouldn't eat, 'Remeber the poor people in Africa'.

Growing up in Ireland in the 1970s we were told it was a sin not to eat all of our dinner - the Famine of the 1840s still resonated down through the decades in the cultural mindset -

THIS POPE IS UTTERLY AMAZING !

I used capitals deliberately as I am shouting;)

    Even atheists find him interesting:)

“Man is not in charge today, money is in charge, money rules. God our Father did not give the task of caring for the earth to money, but to us, to men and women: we have this task! Instead, men and women are sacrificed to the idols of profit and consumption: it is the "culture of waste." - Pope Francis 6-5-13

Given people's attention spans today and how the internet is changing the way we read (browsing, scanning headlines/titles), Pope Francis' speaking style is more likely to be heard by the world. I love Pope Benedict and his indepth and learned speeches and books, but honestly how many people today have the patience and attention span to slog through his often dense prose. That's especially true for the youth.

Please pray for the Pope. He is having the most terrible time in the Vatican. I know he is no quitter but still...

Some of people around him , there thoughts are turning to active hate and opposition to him. His thoughts are not theirs. He comes from such a different, better place.

I saw him last night in a dream talking to a Prelate, the two of them are so different, I think he is starting to realise what he is up against. Humanly speaking he is in an impossible situation. These people are just not going to change or make room for him.
