There is a Headline in Spirit Daily saying Pope Francis has been admitted to a hospital in Rome today 4th July 2021 awaiting surgery. It appears he may have diverticulitis. Funny coincidence but I am going to our surgery on Tuesday to get tests done so the doctor can decide what is going on with my stomach. She has given me treatment for IBS which might be the solution. The Popes problem is very similar to IBS, poor man. We must say a wee prayer he comes through making a speedy recovery, so he can get back to making that mess of the Church he asked us all to do a few years ago. Bless him.

Julia - a nutritionist Peggy Shirmer helped me tremendously online. Celery juice every morning cured my diverticulitis. So far so good.
Prayers for the Pontiff, this article makes it sound like he is out of surgery and under observation. https://people.com/health/pope-francis-under-observation-after-undergoing-colon-surgery-in-rome/ He lost part of his right lung when he was 21. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-57714250
True. My dad has it too, and he has been hospitalized a couple of times. Prayers for Pope Francis' recovery.
Thank you Byron, this will be very helpful for us all to know. You would not believe this but I can't bear the taste or texture of Celery. I make chicken broth and put celery in it to get the benefit without knowing it. The doctor thinks I may have an iron deficiency as a result of blood loss in urine from stints. The doctor is doing investigation to make sure the big 'C' is not going on. We will find out of there is an iron deficiency and that can be treated. Please God it will all be fine, and we will hear how Pope Francis is doing. Thank you all for prayers
Pope Francis appears to be recovering from the partial removal of his colon. O Mary conceived without sin, pray for Pope Francis!
Dear Julia, praying your surgery is a complete success and you have a speedy recovery. Also praying for the pope as well….in every way that God intends. God bless and keep you Julia.
The idea of electing a transitional Pope has been the most viable option in the Church since the 2005 conclave; perhaps these recent problems in Pope Francis' health change that.
