VATICAN CITY. “How do I live? In fear that if I don’t do this I’ll go to hell? Or do I also live with that hope, with that joy of the gratuitousness of salvation in Jesus Christ? “: With this question Pope Francis exemplified the role of the ten commandments, which must be observed but are not” absolute “, because their” limited function in the time »is linked to« the maturation of persons and their choice of freedom »which culminates in the encounter with Jesus« who justifies us freely ».

Jorge Mario Bergoglio presided over the general audience in the Paul VI hall, continuing a cycle of catechesis dedicated to the relevance of the letter of St. Paul to the Galatians. If in recent weeks he had focused on those who criticized the apostle to the peoples – the missionaries who accused him of being “unorthodox towards tradition”, the “fundamentalist” preachers – today Francis has focused on the Mosaic law: Christians “They are not under the constraint of the Law, but are called to a demanding lifestyle in the freedom of the Gospel”.

The relationship between the Law and sin, the Pope explained, “will be expounded in a more systematic way by the Apostle in his Letter to the Romans, written a few years after that to the Galatians. In summary, the Law leads to a definition of transgression and to making people aware of their sin: “You have done this, therefore the Law – the Ten Commandments – says this: you are in sin”. Indeed, as common experience teaches, the precept ends up stimulating transgression

This too seemingly is material heresy. Yet no one is allowed to touch the third rail about his legitimacy…

Padre Pio made this revelation to exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth in 1960:

One day Padre Pio said to me very sorrowfully: ‘You know, Gabriele? It is Satan who has been introduced into the bosom of the Church and within a very short time will come to rule a false Church.’”

“Oh my God! Some kind of Antichrist! When did he prophesy this to you?” I [Zavala] ask.

“It must have been about 1960, since I was already a priest then.”

“Was that why John XXIII had such a panic about publishing the Third Secret of Fatima, so that the people wouldn’t think that he was the anti-pope or whatever it was …?”

A slight but knowing smile curls the lips of Father Amorth.

And as a solution to all these threats and problems, She proposed 1 solution: THAT RUSSIA BE CONSECRATED TO HER IMMACULATE HEART BY THE POPE WITH ALL THE BISHOPS.

So, I ask all of you who doubt Benedict XVI is the true pope. Wait for Bergoglio to die, and THEN BEFORE THERE IS ANOTHER CONCLAVE, ask Benedict XVI to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart, and ask all the Bishops to do this with him.

And Russia will convert in the twinkling of an eye to the Catholic Faith, as Padre Pio promised. And that will be a sign to all, that there is no need for another conclave: that Bergoglio was a usurper, and that Benedict XVI never resigned from the papacy.

    Remember and propose this.

And those who refuse this challenge, show by this means on what side they truly stand: with the Deceiver.

Maybe Brother Bugnolo is indeed a prophet for our times.

I actually looked up what "fundamentalist" is earlier today for some other reason. Fundamentalism has a pejorative connotation, but leaving aside the propaganda, any non-Modernist Catholic would agree with the five fundamentals:

I read through the article, Brian, and find little lack of clarity. On the other hand, in Amoris Laetitia, Francis literally buried a commandment under the misnomer of ideals. Not the case here, in my humble opinion.

I think the Pope makes a key point. Most of the 10 commandments are formulated in a "Thou shall not" formulation. In our humanness, we add an "or else" connotation. Or more explicitly, "Die in mortal sin- go to hell." Fear of punishment is a proper motivation, but not the most excellent.

Jesus teaches that the two greatest commandments are "Love God" and "Love neighbor". These two are not motivated by fear but by holy affection and compassion.

Saint Paul ties these two insights together in Galatians 5 when he states the following:

Galatians 5:14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, " You shall love your neighbor as yourself .

So while fear is a good motivator, love is the best! I believe that is what Pope Francis is trying to point out. There are things the Holy Father says that stops us in our tracks, but not here.

Safe in the Barque of Peter!

I am too afraid to read what the Holy Father actually said.

    I'll leave him to it.:)

I have edited out this comment. A strong nudge to pray for PF and to keep silent. Bishop Schneider and Archbishop Vigano may certainly comment and thank God they do. I on the other hand must be silent.:):(
    Yep Blizzard. Pretty much.

Yes, it's too upsetting. If we could actually do something about it , it would be different, then we would have a moral responsibility to act. But due to hierarchical nature of the Church we have nothing really we can do. Since Jesus set up the Church as a Hierarchy with the twelve Apostles as foundation stones He is telling us something directly in all this.

We can pray and I was praying for Our Holy Father today.:)

The Serenity Prayer speaks to all this very well.

I love the Serenity prayer. In the long version, there is a line: "accepting hardship as the pathway to peace."

    [IMG] The Full Version

    God, grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change...
Courage to change the things I can,
And Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will.
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
    Amen.

But I suppose everyone has their own ways of dealing with difficult people and situations.

There is a lady at Work who constantly reports me and pretty well everyone else at work to the bosses. She is not , as you may guess the most popular woman in the Galaxy. :D

When I started in my present hospital she came very, very close indeed to getting me the sack, although at the time she did not even know me. In fact she signed a statement against me which is pretty well unheard of. She has also reported me several times since and has also been indulging in malicious gossip about me round the offices.

Well the way I deal with her is to avoid her and have no communication except were really, really necessary. In fact I suppose you could say I have pretty well shut her down and behave as if she did not exist.

I do this to protect myself more than anything else.

But I suppose everyone has there own ways of dealing with things. This works for me.:)

I hope it is not being uncharitable, I do pray for her. But in terms of social interaction I have kinda given up the ghost on her.

I suspect in her defense that she is unwell. Nevertheless. She would start a row in an empty house. In this respect she reminds me very, very much of Our Present Holy Father.

Sometimes I think they call it, 'The Alcoholics Prayer'. I think they read it at every meeting.:)

Padraig, that is sad that she is on your case relentlessly. I think under the circumstances, you are doing the wisest thing to protect yourself. Prayers for her are the best thing you can do, and you are already doing it.
My mother used to tell me to just ignore them. And you are doing that. You are so happy it must be killing her.
She is in a Galaxy far, far away.
