I read some stories of MT athos hermits, and Kiev Cave saints..some very beatiful holyness, I hope orthodox devout monks can pray together with holy order catholics soon. The main difference in ascetic theology is that orthodox dont have private revelation\marian apparitions,or any stigmatists. They never use self flaggellation, but adopt a rather uncomfortable posture for hours when doing Jesus Prayer(sitting down with head between the knees)

Can anyone tell me if throughout the history of the Church there has been any ecclesiastical event intended to unify the date of the Celebration of Easter with Orthodox Christians ? .
