A thought on Jesus's words in the Gospel reading. In Medjugorje, Our Lady has said repeatedly that this is a "time of grace." I've felt for a long time that at some point in the future technology will be taken away from us--how far into the future, to what extent and for how long I really don't know. But I really feel this will happen--it almost has to for us to take our eyes off worldy things and turn our gaze back to God. Seems I remember a prophecy that at some time in the future "men will live more as in peasant times." It occurred to me that all of us being brought together in this forum is a grace for which I am truly thankful. If when technology is lost and this includes the internet, then in those days we will fast. If I knew how to do it, I would post a picture of The Angelus here. Perhaps Padraig will post it for me. Darrell, One of life's crosses is the loss of friends, or at least the loss of contact, whether this be by means of death, career change, a move due to marriage, etc...Yes, I believe one day the ability to touch base with each other will be severed. Prayer, however, maintains an invisible bond that carries through on into eternity. There will always be a dedicated decade on my beads for you all! God bless your Lenten journeys! My God, my God, why have you abandoned me! But then, Ps 22 doesn't end there, does it? In the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
I don't think it was a coincidence Darrell , But I was thinking on this last night as I walking the dog along the beach. Thinking and praying. As Terry says you do get very close to people in prayer, finding them, loosing them. I think, prayerfully there will be rather a large number of new people joining the forum over the new while. The good Lord intends this in the period coming up to the Illumination of Concience and the Great Sign for this site so that there may be good Catholics here to Evangelise and Minister to many poor souls, not just Catholics but lapsed Catholics and folks of all faiths and none who will be in a bit of a state of shock. I hope anyone reading this might consider helping on on this from at that time (which is not to far away now) by posting with the many,many , many poor souls who will be looking for answers. It may be just as simple as explaining to them how to say an act of contrition. I realise at that time folks will be busy answering questions from family, neighbours, friends, acquaintances and even strangers on the street but I hope you'll find time to Minister and Evangelise on forums like this which are intended by Our Blessed Lady to help there poor souls out at that time and beyond.
