Wow. It's interesting how the diamonds were a higher cut and caliber than ever seen on earth. If truly heaven sent, I would expect no less. But, I don't know what to think about it. It's unusual for a non-Catholic denominations to see miracles with oil and such. That pastor and his church now has millions, if not tens of millions, of dollars worth of gems on its hands. Sounds like a breeding ground for corruption. I wonder what they intend to do with them. Looks like a poor community. I'm surprised the place hasn't been robbed or the pastor attacked. I hope all ends well.
Sorry but one word comes to mind DECEPTION. Certain activities in a persons past life,I think, can make one prone to deception from satan. I wouldent go near this. Mary
Well its very hard to think of any occasion in scripture or the tradition of the Catholic Church at all like this, in the lives of the saints. I also noticed the minister did not quote any apt scriptural quotation to offer an explanation. The only thing I can think of is the ephod or breastplate worn by the chief priest in the Temple in Jerusalem . This breastplate has twelve different jewels each representing the twelve tribes of Israel...this is carried on in the book of Revelation when the Holy City which is set on twelves jewels , representing the twelve tribes and more especially the APostles who are the foundation stones of Holy Church. Off course Catholics and Eastern Churchs are very familiar with flows of oil, but not in such huge abundance. I think like Mary I am a bit sceptical, also like Deanna, I'd be worried about the money side. So I can't really believe in it...but I wonder were the diamonds and the other jewels DID come from??? But no, I don't think God would rain down jewels. But speaking of miracles, the priest round in the convent mentioned one of the strangest miracles I ever heard of on the Feast of Saint Phillip Neri. Apparently Saint Phillip was wandering round Rome working loads of the most incredible miracles. But, for some reason the Pope called Saint Phillip and ordered him to stop with the miracles. Phillip. of course being obedient did so. Anyway shortly after Saint Phillip was walikng down a street in Rome when he saw a little child falling from a third story window to the street below. Saint Phillip made a sign and the kid froze in space in mid air. Saint phillip then went to the dumbfounded Pope and asked permission to save the child, whcih the Pope duly gave. The saint then returned to the street and caught the little child in his arms!! Wonderful stuff!! I have no problem at all in believing stuff like this, you have only to read of Saint Joseph of Cupertino or Padre Pio to see even more remarkable miracles....
