Such conjunction 'triple plays' are rare.

This would have been a sign for our ancestors.

Fatima and Garabandal, I'm not sure what to make of this as well, but I am pondering.
Consider the words of Antonio Yague in his Sacred Astonomy and the End of Times:

"In Sacred Astronomy we find a possible sign of the beginning of hostilities in the conjunction of Mars (war) and Saturn (devil) that takes place on August 24, 2016. The wars to which Mars points to can be good or bad, depending on with which planet it does the conjunction. For example Mars was recently in conjunction with Jupiter on May 1, 2011, date of the beatification of John Paul II and on July 22, 2013, the start of World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro. By contrast, the last two times that Mars was in conjunction with Saturn were on July 31, 2010, date on which there was a historic agreement between Israel, Palestine and Jordan to preserve Jerusalem, just seven years before the date we have found for the Abomination of Desolation, and August 15, 2012, when the UN formally accused Syria of performing assassinations, torture, sexual violence and looting their own people. In 2016, two days before this conjunction (August 22) the Sun (God) will be joined to Regulus (the little king) and three days later (August 27), Jupiter (Messiah) will be in conjunction with Venus (Our Lady). We must remain vigilant some time before these dates in case the drums of war have begun to sound. "

So in this conjunction -- the first of seven conjunctions during 2015 -- we have Mars (war) and Venus (Mary) with a crescent Moon -- which is the symbol of Islam, a symbol that has been carried historically on the flags of many Muslim armies throughout history -- in a tight bunch with Mars and Venus.

Then consider this recent request from Luz de Maria:

    Brothers and sisters:
This is an Urgent Call from Christ to all of us.
    My Children, My People:
I, YOUR SORROWFUL CHRIST, CONVOKE YOU TO A WORLD DAY OF PRAYER TO MY HOUSE, THIS COMING FRIDAY (FEBRUARY 20TH), ON BEHALF OF ALL THOSE WHO IN THIS VERY INSTANT ARE BEING PERSECUTED JUST FOR LOVING AND FOLLOWING ME.
    Brothers and sisters:
Let us respond to this Divine Sorrowful Lament. Let us unite ourselves, and… !Please let us not be unconcerned!
    God bless you
    Luz de María

I never gave much thought to Astronomical Signs even though we have been admonished to do just that in Scripture. It wasn't until I saw the "The Star of Bethlehem" on EWTN 5/6 years ago that it became a "Real Deal" for me. With modern computers coupled with thousands of years of astronomical data, one can "search" the skies for "Signs" in the past and future. I enjoyed The Star so much I bought DVDs for Christmas presents to send Family. I think during Christmas Padriag linked to the YouTube site .... worth watching!

    An Evening Sky Conjunction
Explanation: Eight years ago, an evening sky held this lovely pairing of a young crescent Moonand brilliant Venus. Seen near the western horizon, the close conjunction and its wintry reflection were captured from Bolu, Turkey, planet Earth on February 19, 2007. In the 8Earth years sincethis photograph was takenVenus has orbited the Sun almost exactly 13 times, so the Sun and Venus have now returned to the same the configuration in Earth's sky. And since every 8 yearsthe Moon also nearly repeats its phases for a given time of year, a very similar crescent Moon-Venus conjunction will again appear in planet Earth'sevening skies tonight. But the February 20, 2015 version of the conjunction will alsoinclude planet Mars. Much fainter Mars will wander even closer to Venus by theevening of February 21.

Venus and Mars won't be closer until October 5, 2017:
Although Mars shines as brightly as our sky’s brightest stars, Venus outshines the Red Planet by a good hundredfold. Venus and Mars have been edging closer together in the sky all month. They will have their conjunction – when the two worlds pass each other on the sky’s dome – on February 21. It’ll be their closest conjunction since September 11, 2008. And they won’t stage a closer one until October 5, 2017.

Amazing. Absolutly amazing. The sky is such an awe filled spectacle and astronomy is a passion of mine.
I'm in hospital today so I will miss the conjunction when its a its best. However, I will see it tomorrow as I'm due to be discharged tomorrow morning. Crutches or no crutches!!
I did see the conjunction beginning last night. And, even at a basic level, very beautiful.
Too much mention is made of stars, moons etc in the bible for us not to take these conjunctions seriously. Nothing happens for nothing.

"We saw His star in the east and have come to do Him homage"

Also, Father Malachi Martin exhorted us to "look to the sky's" as he knew something significant in the future was related to the stars

Ceres is one of five named dwarf planets recognized by NASA and the International Astronomical Union (IAU). The other four are Eris, Pluto, Makemake and Haumea.
But Ceres is the first of these worlds to get a visitor from Earth: NASA's Dawn spacecraft is arriving on March 6.
"Ceres is a 'planet' that you've probably never heard of," said Robert Mase, Dawn project manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
Ceres may be considered a dwarf planet, but it's "the giant of the main asteroid belt," Dr. Marc Rayman, chief engineer and mission director of the Dawn mission, told CNN. "It is not only the largest object between Mars and Jupiter, it is the largest object between the sun and Pluto that a spacecraft has not yet visited."
"We are tremendously excited," Rayman said. "We have guided this robotic probe for well over seven years on an interplanetary journey of more than 3 billion miles. Along the way we sailed past Mars. We spent 14 months orbiting and scrutinizing the giant protoplanet Vesta. ... Now, finally, we are on the verge of conducting the first exploration ever of the first dwarf planet."
New images from Dawn, taken when the probe was about 52,000 miles (83,000 kilometers) from Ceres, show craters and what NASA calls mysterious bright spots. Rayman said its surface is pretty beaten up and that the craters that are "scars from life in the rough and tumble asteroid belt."
Why study a beaten-up space rock? Rayman said because it's a survivor -- and a mysterious one. Made up of rock and ice, Ceres may even have liquid water deep beneath its surface -- "perhaps as ponds or lakes or even oceans," Rayman said.
    Facts about Ceres
    • Discovered in 1801 by Giuseppe Piazzi
    • Named for Roman goddess of agriculture
    • The word 'cereal' comes from Ceres
    • Diameter is about 590 miles (950 km)
    • First object discovered in asteroid belt
He said Ceres "appears to have been in the process of growing to become a full-sized planet when Jupiter terminated its growth nearly 4.6 billion years ago."
So by studying Ceres, scientists learn more about how the rest of the solar system formed. And he said, we should study Ceres because it's there -- and we need to understand the universe we live in. "We should study it because we hunger for knowledge and understanding. Grand undertakings like this nurture our spirit," Rayman said.
Rayman said that if you had learned about the solar system 200 years ago, "you would have learned that Ceres was a planet, just as people who learned about the solar system in more recent generations learned that Pluto is."
Speaking of Pluto, the most famous of the dwarf planets gets its own visitor in July. The New Horizons spacecraft is closing in for a flyby of Pluto and its moons.
This talk of planets and dwarf planets is still a little confusing, so here's the most recent tally: NASA currently recognizes eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, and the five named dwarf planets we listed earlier.
But a sixth possible dwarf planet already is on NASA's watch list.
Called 2012 VP113, it's believed to be one of the most distant objects in our solar system. On its Solar System Exploration website, NASA says the object was nicknamed "Biden" after Vice President Joseph Biden because of the VP in its initial designation. It will be up to the IAU to decide whether i2012 VP113 is a dwarf planet and whether it gets an official name.
But expect the numbers for planets in our solar system to keep changing. Mike Brown, the CalTech astronomy professor who helped discover dwarf planet Eris and who takes responsibility for killing off Pluto as a full-fledged planet, has his own tally listing more than 360 possible dwarf planets. And NASA has said there may be many more dwarf planets that we haven't found yet.
So Ceres, and its cousins, may soon outnumber the traditional planets you learned about in grade school.

    "
My People, a comet is approaching the Earth, the Earth’s axis will move, the influence of this comet will be strong upon the Earth, causing each human heart to be invaded by fear, and in that way men will repent for what they had in their hands and they despised it, ignored it and altered it, repenting, but not with all their heart.

Beloved children, the sea waves will lash against the coasts; great suffering will be upon My People. New lands will appear parts of lost continents of other times, in front of the East Coasts of the United States.

Pray, My children, pray for San Francisco."

WCWTS, it is interesting to compare these to what Luisa Piccarreta writes about chastisements in her 36 volume diary. In his dissertation footnotes, Father Joseph summarizes "the many chastisements Luisa beheld in mystical vision that will purge the earth and purify mankind, noteworthy is 'fire'. Fire will come from the center of the earth [Volume 2, 8/2/1899; Vol. 8 1/2/1909; Vol. 14 10/27/1922] and also from the sky [Vol. 14 9/1/1922; Vol. 12 11/2/1917; Vol. 6 10/20/1905; Vol. 11 4/3/1915] to overwhelm mankind and make him believe that God exists [Vol. 2 10/7/1899] [...] a star of black fire and blood that appears to represent a comet [Vol. 2 3/18/1899]."

Father Joseph lists other chastisements noted by Luisa in her writings. These chastisements include crop damage, revolutions, united forces of fire, blood and water, wind, terrible hail, earthquakes, volcanoes, and contagious diseases.

    Hey Leo,
I'm thinking that most of Fr Joe's chastisements be Happenin' Now and a three minute Net-Search will reveal them ;-(

CrewDog, I regret to say that you a likely right on target with your analysis. If we'd only listen to the requests of Our Lady of Fatima, the requests made by Our Lord to St. Faustina and to the Gift of Living in the Divine Will he shared with Luisa Piccarreta - to name just three.
