I dont like nostradmus he is a wizard i think , but its confusing i thought i saw some cathokics qouting his prophecies i dont know but i saw this Anyways Here is the qoute from the website ("The Pope elected to succeed John Paul II will be assassinated and his death will spark a Muslim invasion of the West that will split the Catholic church, according to an interpretation of Nostradamus's prophecies by a leading Colombian author. "The next Pope elected will be subsequently murdered in central Italy. Then comes Pope number 112, who will flee Rome because of an attack by Muslims," Gonzalo Echeverri, a Colombian investigating judge and author of a book on Nostradamus told AFP. Echeverri said the Pope would base himself in Avignon, France and another pontiff would take control in Italy, splitting the Catholic church in two. "There is a very clear prophecy that says the holy father will move to another place, even warning that the French Pope will not be able to stay in Avignon due to the Muslim invasion and will flee again to Lyon, where he will be attacked, according to Nostradamus," Echeverri said. Avignon was a base for Popes for much of the 14th century, another time of grave divisions in the church and Europe.") Also j wander if he has anything to say about garabandal.
As you say, Nostradamus isn't reliable and has not been approved by the Church. Indeed, according to Warren H. Carroll, his prophecies have actually been condemned by the Church. One must expect at least holiness and orthodoxy and preferably sanctity, when considering the reliability of visionaries. We don't know the source nor the intentions of the visions revealed to him. If these prophecies are unreliable, the same logically applies to any interpretations made of them.
Oh no, how strange that I just posted 2 posts which relate to these prophecies. There was a time when I wondered ifNnotradamu’s’predictions were somewhat accurate but I don’t bother with reading anything from him any longer.
Nostradamus was an Astrologer and gained his, 'Prophecies', through Astrology, a Practice condemned from at least as far back as St Augustine. St Augustine does not condemn Astrology as being evil, he just condemns it for being stupid, which is a very modern way of looking at things. https://www.patheos.com/blogs/davearmstrong/2015/09/st-augustine-astrology-is-absurd.html 'But, as to what they attempt to make out from that very small interval of time elapsing between the births of twins, on account of that point in the heavens where the mark of the natal hour is placed, and which they call the horoscope, it is either disproportionately small to the diversity which is found in the dispositions, actions, habits, and fortunes of twins, or it is disproportionately great when compared with the estate of twins, whether low or high, which is the same for both of them, the cause for whose greatest difference they place, in every case, in the hour on which one is born; and, for this reason, if the one is born so immediately after the other that there is no change in the horoscope, I demand an entire similarity in all that respects them both, which can never be found in the case of any twins. (City of God, v, 2) If it be said that certain chosen days have an influence on these things, because the constellations rule over all terrestrial bodies, animate and inanimate, according to differences in moments of time, let it be considered what innumerable multitudes of beings are born or arise, or take their origin at the very same instant of time, which come to ends so different, that they may persuade any little boy that these observations about days are ridiculous. (City of God, v, 7)' Astrology has nothing to do with Jesus. Nothing. 1 John 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
Maria Esperanza from Betania, Venezuela revealed in an interview that an innocent person that Jesus loved dearly would be killed, and this would trigger the beginning of war. It is in the book Bridge to Heaven that relates the apparitions of Our Lady in Betania. I highly recommend reading the book.
