This is a testament to the love of an animal that God created. I love this.

I often wonder how the Good God, looking down from heaven, can bear all the pain down here, below.

'Mourning and weeping in this valley of tears', doesn't even come close.

Ah, Padraig, He allowed His Son to bear it all! Lord have Mercy. We trust in Thee!

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? 9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.

My Lilly, the hiking hound is laying on the bed right next to me. She leans so hard on me at times she pushes me off the bed practically. My big baby ❤️

I watched a video once where a cadaver/ search and rescue dog would not leave the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. He sensed life! A lot of them just know I think.

I always feel uneasy around people that do not like animals or nature generally. It's as though a part of their heart that is supposed to be working , isn't.

I feel even more uneasy around people who do not like children or even other people. There's quite a few of them about too.

Being placed in the situation of having to live alone most of my life (valid marriage but husband left) my dogs have been home security protectors, cuddlers, friends, walking companions, someone to go places with, and through them really am given an opportunity to meet people and share my faith. My favorite memory is being at a dog show which was a Newfoundland Specialty in the downtown of a bigger city many years ago. Where we took the dogs outside to potty was a small courtyard next to a busy street full of homeless people and it was wintertime. They were standing there enthralled by looking at all the huge, beautiful Newfoundlands so I invited them inside to watch and get warm since the show was free to the public. I also let them hug my Champion Rafe as much as they wanted even though it messed his fresh groomed coat (you have no idea how fussy we are about grooming before a show LOL) but these people actually CRIED hugging my wonderful Rafe. My dog hugged them each like they were the most beloved creatures on the planet, kissing their faces and staring lovingly into their eyes. I was not very popular that day with the rest of the show people, but I felt like Rafe's true calling was to be a worker for God and he so fullfilled that calling where ever we went. If only humans could be more like dogs including myself! LOL

Sometimes people take their dogs to Old People's Homes and Hospices. I would love to do this.

I once read an account of a guy who became involved in a Satanic group in London. He used to attend meetings in a hall with various Satanic paraphernalia on show and those present would 'pray' for various things, their own success and for their enemies to be involved in accidents or to die etc. Anyway, after a long period of attending these meetings and becoming aware of the success of some of their 'petitions', he was invited to go deeper and to attend a 'special' session for adepts when, he was assured, he would see some amazing things. He readily accepted and turned up on a sunny Saturday afternoon to the special adepts' session. All went as usual but then things took an unusual turn and they called upon the master to show himself. The guy was intrigued as the others all chanted for a manifestation and then, to his astonishment, the statue of Satan started to move and then to make obscene gestures and movements while leering at the audience and especially at him. He was revolted and moved slowly to the exit noticing that everyone was looking at him. The leader of the group stopped him and told him that Satan wanted him to look at his statue. He made for the door and, to his relief, no-one tried to stop him, they all just laughed, including the statue!

He bolted and went into a nearby park to try to lose the images that he had seen. He found that the sight of the flowers and infants in the park revolted him to the extent that he vomited. There was a church nearby and he raced to it, found a CofE vicar and told him his story. He recovered slowly with regular prayer sessions with this good clergyman and knew that he was finally 'out of the woods' when he could feel affection for children and joy in flowers.

You know I don't have the least difficulty believing this at all.

The only problem with Satanism is that the Children of Darkness....as St John informs us...do their deeds in the Darkness , whilst the Children of Light do their deeds in the Light. Their is not the least difficulty finding evidence of the works and miracles of the Saints, we have thousands of witnesses. But when it comes to Satanism all is cloud and fog. Since I suppose they would all be flung in jail as many of their works are illegal (such as murder) this is scarcely surprising.

I was down town in Church a few years back and went to Confession with the Parish Priest and we fell to chatting. He had recently appeared in a film about the Late Father Malachi Martin. Especially as regards to exorcisms. To my surprise the Father asked me if I believed that the devil could really possess someone. He was very sceptical. Perhaps I am very innocent but it does surprise me that a priest especially an older more experienced priest could ask such a question. I told him of an exorcism my spiritual director had performed and he was fascinated and wanted all the details. So much so he ended up 10 minutes late to start Mass.

But the Bible is full of tales of exorcisms and the occult. I don't understand how modern people think it somehow all suddenly stopped. It hasn't somehow vanished.

If you look at accounts from all over the world they seem to have many things in common no matter how different the culture. A for instance at the center of them all is Sacrifice. At a lower level animals, at a higher level human beings, the younger and more innocent the better. They all use curses and spells. Any real Satanist knows that the Catholic Church is the real deal.
Apostate Catholic priests and even Bishops are often at the center.

Anyone interested should listen to Fr Hardon discuss the subject, he is the best I ever heard. He would blow you away with some of his stories, you can catch them on utube.

I think animals like dogs and cats can be good weather vanes to spooky goings on. You often hear of them behaving oddly in places like haunted houses.
