I know this may sound strang eto ask but any of those who are gifted with visions ect on here do you know if pope benedict is in heaven or purgatory. I understand the lord can give us private revelations and we should discuss these things first with our priest spiritual directors.

Like has any known mystics like medjugorje mystica
Pedro regis have they been told where pope benedict is right now.
I know this is a strange question my prayers are going up for him God bless.

    Hi,
I don't know how trustworthy this mystic is but I read this today if you're interested.

I would say he is in Heaven now. Probably like pretty much everyone he passed through purgatory but very quickly. He in his position had a very high standard to live up to, and was obviously difficult at times, perhaps he had some failings. I would think he is as close to a Saint as humanly possible and flew through the purifiying fires in an instant to the arms of Our Lord and Lady.

I'm not sure everyone passes through purgatory very quickly. I hope they do; my own stay there won't be as long as I deserve.

I would be a little careful of asking such questions as it draws close to Necromancy, or the summoning of the dead.

If by requesta mystic like Padre Pio happens to disclose the Eternal Destination of a soul, that is one thing.

But to actually seek to know where a soul is going to..well, I don't know, it makes me a little nervous.

But I seem to recall that Padre Pio disclosed the fate of Italian soldiers on the Russian Front to their relatives. If they were dead or alive, it they were in Purgatory, Heaven of Hell on numerous occasions. But I think the heaven of hell thing was a by blow to the basic question if they were dead of alive.

If Italian soldiers, or anyone else, got caught by the Russians they were basically dead men walking. They fell down a black hole and were never heard of again. When Padre Pio went looking for them in prayer, I think it was accidental that he found out were they were in the next life. The main point was to discover if they were dead or alive. For their poor wives and parents.

The Italians have wonderful uniforms. I love watching the Berseglerari march, they are funny.

I believe Pope Benedict suffered tremendously in secret. My hopes are for heaven but only God knows

I agree, I said BUT he passed very quickly. And of course I meant that no, not everyone even makes it to purgatory as many go to hell, but for those who are destined for heaven I meant that most have to pass through at least SOME purgatory.

I leave that question up to God for only He knows the state of a soul. My concern would be I remember hearing from somewhere that many priests and bishops do not make it even to purgatory. The responsibility and demand on a soul who was made the Vicar of Christ must be huge. I have been praying daily since I have heard of his death for his soul. If they are not needed for him, I’m sure the good Lord will use my prayers for another needful priest.

It is awe inspiring that a consecrated soul has the power to call God down from Heaven and yet still to live a very human life amongst us. Our priests are a precious gift from Heaven. They need our prayers.

The fact that he said, 'My Jesus I love you ', just before he died is a wonderful, wonderful Sign.

So true! Our Lady of Medjugorie often says to pray for your shepherds.

As part of our morning prayers, my wife and I pray by name for the priests in our lives… our local hero’s! We also pray for priests we know who have passed.

Yes. That's what I thought too. He was poured out like a libation for the Christ and his love for Jesus was his last earthly thought and word. It gives me chills.
