This perplexed me. I believe Fr Blount saw this. I tend to believe it is probably a foreshadowing of the Three Days of Darkness. The other interpretation, of a world-wide blackout, perplexes me. In my mind, not being a scientific sort, a world-wide blackout would probably be caused by God. It would cover the whole world, not just a nation. Just thinking about this......
Here is Julia's quick description. This Priest saw a vision of Blessed Mother in the sky, visible just from her waist up. She had a long length of black cloth in her hands. He saw her wrap the cloth around the earth in three lengths which wrapped the earth in darkness. ( She needed to do this three times so the cloth did not seem to be wide enough to cover the earth in one go, if you see what I mean). The Priest who is said to be in good standing and also an exorcist in his own diocese; said he saw the same vision three times in one day. The debate has been what do we believe this vision could mean. Some say it means the Three Days of Darkness. I personally don't hold that view; but don't know what the vision could mean. I believe the Priest himself thinks it is to do with the three days of darkness. Hope that is helpful and explained in enough detail. Peace
Thank you, I thought of 3 possibilities in addition to the 3 days of darkness: a solar storm causing electrical system failures on the planet, some global catastrophic event that caused mourning worldwide; suppression of the Eucharist since Christ is the light of the world.
You might have hit on something there Luan. The black cloth reminds me of how we wear black when we are at funerals/mourning the loss of a loved one (Jesus in the Eucharist). Or as you also suggest some global catastrophic event; what if a virus worse than the covid were to sweep the planet and leave millions dead all around the world. That would leave millions mourning on a global scale.

I don't think it can mean the Eucharist. The video was posted earlier this month and some of us have had lockdown for longer. In any case, I don't think the Eucharist can be absent throughout the world. I would take 'blackout' to refer to a power outage of sorts. Fr Blount saw it three times - could correspond to the Three Days of Darkness... I don't know. The trouble with prophecy like this is that you can't know it's genuine until it happens. In this case we aren't even sure what is meant. With Sr Agnes Sasagawa's recent message, I'm thinking we need to take it all to prayer.
It sounds like the three days of darkness. He saw it three times. Each of the three times the cloth spread out until it covered the whole earth. And he saw the word "Blackout". Isn't there speculation that a chain of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions could produce a cloud that would cover the earth, obscuring the sun? Or would that be possible? Sceptics of the 3DD often use the time zones to debunk it. They say that if it begins at night in one part of the world it can't begin at night on the opposite side of the globe. They also ask questions about what would happen to airplane passengers; questions like "will the plane be suspended in the air"? A spreading dust cloud would ground all aircraft.

I suppose what I am about to say should go on the dream thread but here goes: I have sometimes mentioned on the forum a very holy woman I knew who died two years ago at 90. She was i am sure a saint. (Her whole family was martyred by the communists in Czechslovakia--her escape was truly miraculous) Last week I had a vivid dream. It was a beautiful spring day. I was outside and the fruit trees were all in bloom. There was a rough hewn table and I think I was going to serve a meal on it but hadn't started yet. I was finishing writing a note to this very holy woman on yellow legal pad paper and I looked up and there she was! Younger and looking wonderful. I said " I was just writing to you!" She smiled and picked up the pages and glanced at them and put them aside. Then she said " Are you happy?" I said "yes!" But then I said " except I have this feeling of..." and I searched for the word trying to explain. "A feeling of darkness...impending...some pressure..." and I gestured with my hands over my head of something coming down. She nodded and said very solemnly "Yes." And then she said "are you getting your daily infusion?" And I saw the facade of a great Church. I said "oh yes!" ( in my mind it seemed she meant the sacraments especially Mass.) She indicated a man who had come with her and was standing there quietly and she said "he has written much of history". He was a tall ruggedly built man with a nice face. A salt and pepper beard and a stocking cap on aNd a heavy jacket. Like a workman or an outdoorsman. The whole place was filled with light and spring flowers and there were two big dogs there. My husband walked away which saddened me. I relate it here because the next night I was looking for a book to read before bed and I went to my bookshelf looking for a particular book but found He and I by Gabrielle Bossis. I pulled it and opened it and there was the Holy card from this friend's funeral!! I havent looked at that book in a long while. So this all has me going "Hmmmmm". The dogs btw looked just like the dogs Padraig posted the video on--Russian shepherds I think. I am praying on the dream.
I found this video by searching the name of Father Jim Blount on YouTube but I haven't watched it in full yet because the translation of the subtitles into Portuguese has many meaningless words; if anyone wants to give an opinion on the video it would help me in the clarity of the content.
In this video Fr. Blount speaks of the vision given to George Washington about the future of the nation by the beautiful woman: ..... Washington Stated: “This afternoon, as I was sitting at this table engaged in preparing a dispatch, something seemed to disturb me. Looking up, I beheld standing opposite me a singularly beautiful female. So astonished was I, for I had given strict orders not to be disturbed, that it was some moments before I found language to inquire the cause of her presence. A second, a third and even a fourth time did I repeat my question, but received no answer from my mysterious visitor except a slight raising of her eyes. “By this time I felt strange sensations spreading through me. I would have risen but the riveted gaze of the being before me rendered volition impossible.
