I have just watched the video below about Kathleen (have a few tissues nearby). She promised to intercede for anyone who heard of her and 'liked her' and seems to enjoy sending little signs that she has heard prayers.
I have a little card of Kathleen on the wall and think of and pray to her from time to time. I was contacted by the father and son , from Tyrone who made this video a few years back. It's so touching that people still remember this little girl. As far as I recall she died of TB which would have been very painful indeed. Also she died without family around her. She reminds me of Saint Jacinta from Fatima in this. A hard death, alone, borne with Great Faith. She is great at answering prayers.
It's almost seem to be a Hall Mark of the Saints that they died Hard Deaths. Sometimes I feel very sorry for them and what they went through, especially children. But then I give myself a shake and recall I am looking at things from a human point of view, rather than a Supernatural one. The very things about them I sometimes regret are the very same things that raise them to high heaven. Without Big Crosses there would never have been Great Sanctity.
Sometimes I think; these Holy Souls, because they are so unknown and have no one praying to them for help, they have more time and power before God to do so.
Me too Padraig. My father was a great one for that--looking for an obscure saint to add for intercession.
My thought too Padraig. Like jacinta…she died without family to comfort her at her painful departure from life into Gods hands.
St Philomena is another great one. She falls over herself n her eagerness to help. A HUGE miracle worker
Oh HH that’s wonderful! May you please pray for my eldest daughter who needs conversion. She needs to know Jesus. She always prayed to St Philomena when she was a child. God bless you.
St. Philomena recently cured my 8-year-old son of a physical/psychological problem he had since he was 9 months old. This past December I ordered some St. Philomena holy items and my son took a strong interest in her. He grabbed a locket with her relic inside and placed it over his bed and began praying to her, and this particular issue that has plagued him for so long cleared up within days.
I read Kathleen's story a few days ago and cried so many times. She has deeply touched my heart. Each day since, I have prayed for her to help me be a more patient and loving mother, and she hasn't let me down. I'm so glad to have found her! I wish I'd been alive when she was to have taken care of her.
Please pray for our grandson Brennan A wonderful young man who drove here from Western Canada to see us and begin a career in the army reserves. Please pray he will go to confession soon .He has agreed to come to my Flame of Love cenacle tomorrow. I asked and was flabbergasted he said yes. He is sweet but a few things he is still questioning. Pray Blessed Mother will solve all his doubts and inflame in him the effect of the Flame of Love . Thank you
